It does but not for long. I'm normal not a Tylenol fan but i've found it to NE really effective for sore throat pain.

I hate sore throats. Hope you feel better soon.

1/4 tsp baking soda and 1/4 tsp kosher salt in 8 oz warm water. Gargle with this mixture multiple times a day. Very mild and soothing. The baking soda makes the difference. This is the "recipe" given to me by my ENT for flushes after my sinus surgery and he told me to use it for sore throats as well.

I prefer ibuprofen for sore throats as I think it helps reduce the swelling a bit.

Have you been to the doctor lately? 2 weeks seems like a long time to be battling something, esp if your throat is getting worse. When I had a sore throat that made swallowing painful, it turned out I had strep. I never had a fever with it.

    Feel better!

Wow -- I never knew to add baking soda -- great idea!

I agree w/ pp, if your sore throat is hurting that bad to swallow - you might have strep. I just had it, it's AWFUL. No medicine helped

Can you try lemon juice, honey - warm it up an drink.

I also like warm milk with turmeric (yellow spice - an antiseptic).

    Feel better...!
