Wow. None of these are working for me right now (sneeze) because generic claritin, real allegra, claritin eye.... Should I try zyrtec? The nasal spray has worked before but I think I'm out of it. I don't have a doc to call anything into either.

Claritin does nothing for me. Allegra is iffy. I switched to Zyrtec at night a few years ago, and it does the trick. For now.

I always take generic Claritin. No drowsiness and works 24 hours. I take it about 2 hours before bed.

I would absolutely get Allegra. Zyrtec is quite sedating. It sounds like you need a nasal steroid though, which are not OTC.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I had another attack of the mucus this morning. Blech. I took generic Claritin and generic Mucinex DM because I have those on hand. Might pick up some Allegra and give that a try next. And I suppose I should finally get around to dusting my house....

Wear a dust mask if you do. (I get sinusitis/sinus infections if I dust without a mask.)

You can try Zyrtec, but I recommend getting the 24-hour one and taking it before bed. It makes a lot of people loopy.
