Cheap Birth Announcements

Any good websites out there that sell reasonably priced Birth Announcements?

We are having our First girl in October. I would love to get all the "leg" work done now, and just take the pictures and fill in the birth details once she is born; so we can send out immediately!

You can also poke around on Etsy.com and see what offerings there are. I have seen some adorable ones there.

With Elisa I spent a couple of months looking at birth announcements online. I thought Tiny Prints had some cute ones, but after getting one from someone I was very dissapointed in the quality so they were off the list, plus they weren't cheap (around $2 or $2.50 per card). I ended up just getting fill in cards from Target and I had little wallet photos printed of Elisa and affixed them to the cards. It cost me less than $40 to do it that way if I remember correctly. It wasn't initially what I thought the three months of researching would come out with but it was easy, cheap, and every one knew the basics. The announcements were sent around the time she was 6 weeks old. It also gave me a creative outlet to look forward to while she was sleeping.

I recently ordered baby shower invites from a site called Peekaboo Pumpkin (a friend had used the company) and they were great. I think I paid $40 for 30 or so invites I needed but I was very happy with the feel of the card and how the printing looked. Also you can look for coupon codes on Retail Me Not.

The photo cards are also nice too and probably not too expensive. Costco.com usually has the best prices, but often Shutterfly, Snapfish, and Wal Mart.com will have some good prices too. You could also take the baby to have their first photos taken at someplace like Target and then order the prints directly from them.

Also some of those companys will ship the announcements for you and you just pre pay for postage.

I suggest either Costco, or better yet, use a design service on Etsy then print at Costco. For about $15, you can get a custom design as a jpeg image. At Costco, you can bring in the jpeg image and they will print 50 for $14.99, $6.99 for each additional 25 including envelopes. If you go this route, you should make sure it is sized for 6x7.5" (or a 5x7 fits in their envelopes too). In all likelihood, I will go this route for Christmas cards this year.

Costco is super cheap. I think it is $15 for 50, just like their holiday cards. They also give you the envelopes.

Sams club has really cheap photo card announcements. They even have the multi-photo ones too. I used them 4 yrs ago for DS2 and will be using them for DS3 when he is born. Too bad the selection back then wasn't as nice as it is now. I also like how they provide you with all the envelopes too.

We used Costco and had no complaints plus they were super cheap. I could not find prices even close.

If you go to Etsy.com and search for digital birth announcements, you will find some. I did this a few weeks ago. I bought one for $16 then uploaded them to Walmart.com for 60cents an announcement. It is a pretty cheap way to do it.

I love www.vistaprint.com.

$3.99 for 10 photo announcements, you just can't beat it. You can customize every single aspect of the announcements and envelopes.

I played with a few designs for new baby, and I think I ended up at about a dollar an announcement for linen (non photo) announcements with custom envelopes, with a 'It's a Boy' security print and printed return address.

I have not ordered announcements from them yet, but I have ordered picture magnets, playing cards and other stuff and have always been satified with the results.
