is this a way that Graco is competing w/ Britax; is this 'like' the Marathon?
ds2 is rear-facing in his Britax Marathon, he'll be 3 in July, and I don't think he'll hit even 30lbs by then, lol! the Marathon he's in is about to expire...so I'm thinking this would make a great replacement?

after typing this I found the link where you introduce this seat:

so now I really am interested...thoughts? TIA!

Hmm I told myself all new seats that came into out house would be ff only since we have quite a few bvds to take my kids through rearfacing. This sounds interesting

    Jools,

Is this going to be a good option for DD? I weighed her at the ped yesterday (DS is sick). She is 29 lbs and almost 23 months. Her MA is one that goes to 33 lbs RF. I know it could take her another year to reach that, but she is a HUGE eater and I didn't realize she was already 29 lbs. I really expect her to reach 33 lbs before she is 3. Would this Graco be a good choice for her? I don't know her height but I think it is around 37 inches. Right now she is still RF and on the second set of slots in her MA (it expires in 2011).

    Thanks.

Ugh! Where was that a year ago??? I turned DD FF at about 21 months and felt guilty for a month about it. She's 40lb already now, but she's 2 1/2. Let us know how you like it, as I may need to buy one in about a year if this kiddo proves to be as big as DD.

Heather, it may work, it looks about as tall as the MA (someone had one as a tester and posted pictures, but then they got 'too' public and she took them down ), so if your dd has a good amount of room (at least 4 inches, I'm guessing? To make it worth the expense) in the MA, it should be a decent choice.
I hope they come out soon, Leah's not getting any shorter

Thanks Julie. I just hate knowing that DD will turn FF so much sooner b/c our MA's only go to 33 lbs. I would be ok turning FF if she made it to at least 3, but really not before that. I think she probably has a good 4 inches above her head, but I'm going to check the next time we are in the car (nobody has been out of the house for 4 days b/c of strep throat).
