    Default Evenflo Tribute 5

Does anyone have any comments about the Evenflo Tribute 5? The Tribute 1 doesn't get good reviews in the latest Baby Bargains book, but the Tribute 5 has a five-point harness and it's lots cheaper (~$30 less) than the Triumph or Graco ComfortSport. Would this be a good seat for Grandma's car/husband's car? Seeing mixed reviews on the forums. Thanks!

No, it's really not good...it's pretty hard to install and the harness adjuster can be really hard to use. The Cosco Scenera or Safety 1st Uptown are easier to install and use, and the Evenflo Triumph Advance is really nice, too. One thing to consider along with price is how long a seat will last... Scenera till 3ish, Uptown till maybe 4ish, Triumph Advance till 6ish (that's based on average sized and weight kids, and the top harness height in each seat). You want a kiddo to be harnessed till at least age 5 before they go into a booster (younger than 5, and the head injury rate is a lot higher for kids in boosters), so the 'biggest' seat you can find may well end up saving you money in the long run (because you won't have to buy another later for longer harnessing...). The Scenera is so low price though, almost everyone I know owns one for a spare, and you can't beat it for it's lightweight for plane travel (it hooks on the back of your stroller to get through the airport with no effort)

    Thanks, that helps a lot.
Do you like the Triumph or the Uptown better than the Graco comfortsport? What is the comfortsport's life in terms of child age?

Comfortsport's so hard to install and use and so overpriced I don't even consider it, so sorry I forgot to mention it, lol. It's outgrown by even small kids at 3, though 2.5 is average for outgrowing it.
