Default Need help identifying this rash (picture enclosed)

so DD now has rash on her chest, legs & butt. Is this an allergic reaction rash? We just introduced some new foods and I changed laundry detergents.

I'm not very experienced with rashes, but with new foods and detergent occurring in proximity its arrival, it seems likely that one of those might be the culprit.

Poor little babe! have you called the Doc?

I'm with Shandelle- Yowza!! Call the doc- they can tell you how much benadryl to give if she's really uncomfortable. You'll probably have to backtrack & try each food & detergent separately and for at least 3 days each to find the culprit.

good luck!

Just my non doctor opinion here...but I really think thats more than an allergic reaction. It looks like a virus that is manifesting itself with a rash. Is she acting sick at all? Not eating well? Fever adn fussiness? I would call your Dr. ASAP!

Looks like a viral rash to me, and I am a doc. Any loose stools or fever recently, and is it on her palms/soles? Looks like enterovirus, not serious, but uncomfortable. Poor kiddo!

Well I called the doc & they said to use some hydrocortisone. It went away in about 24 hours. It was on her chest, a thigh & right below her navel, with stray pimples here & there.

DD is very fussy anyhow so its hard to tell if she was extra fussy. However, last night *AFTER* the rash had cleared up she had a very uncomfortable night (gassy & difficult to settle like she was really uncomfortable).

We are starting her on solids & she's in the peanu butter pooh stage. Didn't seem very "loose" to me although one day she pooped 3 times & another day twice. I thought it was b/c we are giving her lots of fibrous foods to help ward off constipation (per drs orders).
