Got four moles removed, two are healing beautifully and two are not. Has anyone tried using Mederma or a similar product?

I've been using Trader Joe's Vitamin E oil with good results on a scar from a gash over my eyebrow.

and I'm religious about sunscreen on it.

My dd had a birthmark removed from her forehead last August. The plastic surgeon recommended using a product that contains silicone. Apparently those are the only ones that truly work. We bought something called Scar Fade. It was $25 for a tiny tube but we use it religiously every night and it has made a huge difference. People who know she had the surgery (our sitter and SIL) have commented on how great the scar looks.

Thanks for the info, I think I have the vitamin e oil already and will start with that and order the silicone continaining one. $25 is worth it if it helps!
Unfortunately I think part of the problem may be a new sunscreen that I used that irritated my skin. I quickly switched brands but the skin still isn't healing as well on these two spots.
I had surgery in November and have quite a bit of scarring. I have been using silicone scar strips and they are working great.
