Our favorite thing to get through netflix/blockbuster are seasons of TV shows. Some of our favorites (that DH and I both love) are Alias, How I Met Your Mother, the Office, Firefly, The Big Bang Theory. We love watching shows this way, with no commercials and no waiting!
I actually really like it for watching tv shows. We've watched Entourage, The Sopranos, and I am currently really liking Las Vegas. For movies it's mainly new releases, or I also have a goal to watch all 80 Oscar best picture winners so it's been helpful for that too.

I also love to get tv shows-recently I watched a few of "Parker Lewis Can't Lose". Anyone remember that show? It was adorable! I got all nostalgic.
Anyway...I pretty much don't get to the movies, so as soon as a movie comes out that I want to see I add it to netflix (you can add ones that aren't on dvd yet!). A few I have on there right now:
Terminator: Salvation
Away we go
Happy go Lucky
The Proposal
I love you man

for movies:
I want to see sunshine cleaning
have you seen Amelie?
I would get Dexter and I have heard a lot of raves about Weeds. And at this point I would get all the Lost seasons to prepare for Feb 2!!
A far as movies right now I would get 500 days of Summer and The Hangover (probably only person in America who has not seen this yet). We just saw Inglorious Basterds, and it was good, if you like Quentin. Terminator Salvation was NOT good. (shocker!!)

We have Netflix, and we get movies I'm pretty sure we wouldn't be able to find at the Blockbuster (if I could find one). Currently in my queue. We just saw Pink Floyd's The Wall, we've also seen Dr. Strangelove, Lars and the Real Girl, and all the HP's except the latest one. That's in our queue. But I think next up is The Red Violin.
I like to watch documentaries, something I could never find at the local rental store.

I really like Entourage, Big Love, and Trueblood right now. I also really enjoyed the John Adams miniseries.
