Is anyone else really bothered by the way Alex and Leah are smacking while they eat grapes in Volume 6? Granted, people who smack while they eat is one of my pet peeves. I realize A&L may be too young to teach them to eat with their mouths closed, but couldn't they have at least edited the sound out? It bugs me every time!

I guess I should have put this in the Bitching Post but I also had to say that I find the dad of the red headed little boy in Volume 4 (he has a skinny, pretty red-headed wife as well) to be totally hot. Thanks Rachel for the eye candy!

I never thought about it, but now that you mention it, yes, that's annoying! I don't find it as annoying as introducing the sign "candy" to babies and toddlers, but that's a different issue. Overall, though, we LOVE ST around here -- the latest is that my 2.5YO DD has rediscovered it and can now do more complicated signs than when she was first learning - it's fun and fascinating to watch her!

Now I have to make an effort to watch Vol. 4 to see this hot guy you mentioned! :p

I never noticed that, but I do have issues with some of the wording in songs. Specifically, the "in a house" song where it goes something like this:

My puppy is nicer to me than my sister
My goldfish is quiet
My kitten is cleaner

Really - it makes me wonder if the puppy is biting the sister or what? Why is that puppy nicer to her than to her sister? And, since the goldfish is just quiet, and not quieter, what is the kitten cleaner than?

It just bugs me every time!

I thought it meant the sister of the singer was compared unfavorably to the puppy (puppy nice, sister mean), the fish (fish quiet, sister loud) and the kitten (kitten clean, sister dirty). Having grown up with a younger brother who seemed to always be bratty, loud and dirty, I made that connection. The structure makes sense lyrically, but not gramatically.

LOL about the grapes! I noticed, but now that you have brought it to my attention, it is annoying!

My gripe is petty, but I kinda wish there was a "sugar free" variety of ST. It used to really bother me that they included ice cream, cookies and candy on the silly pizza.

I'll have to look for the hot dad. ;)

That's what they mean, but it isn't what I hear them saying. I think it should go "My puppy is nicer to me than my sister IS". And they lose the comparision word by using quiet rather than quietER.

I definitely understand the meaning, but I hear it wrong each and every time!

The Silly Pizza Song in the Time to Eat volume is sugarless. :) It has eggs, tomatos, salad, popcorn (this is probably the least healthy), peas, sandwiches, and a few others I can't recall. But no candy or cookies or ice cream, thank goodness!

And I guess I'll have to check out the hot dad and the noisy grapes since I obviously never noticed.

I hate the pizza song, fortunately DD doesn't care for it much either and only get sreally excited about cheese and ice cream. he doesn't get the chocolate/sucker = candy. Though I would prefer if she didn't know what candy was at all.
