Canker sore relief?

lysine is supposed to help with cold sores. My mom has good success w/ it. Not sure how it works on ones inside your mouth.

For the pain, you can try something with clove oil in it. It's like a natural verson of Anbesol, numbs the area. I got a little bottle made by Herbs for Kids called Gum-o-mile at the health fod store. Used it when DD's wisdom teeth came in and we have all used it on cold sores for some temporary relief.

I can totally believe that they are stress related. Last summer when i was trying to take care of my 1 and 3 year old as well as nurse my husband through menangitis, I got like 3 huge ones. As soon as one would heal up, another would start. Got some recently when I was planning some birthday parties, so yeah, I was really seeing a connection between the stress and the canker sores. I had just never heard anywhere else that they were stress related.

I'e tried EVERYTHING. The only thing that really helps me is orbase. It's a paste. I feel for ya, man. Good luck.

I've tried actual aspirin ON the sore. I *think* it helped...
also lysine has helped my cold sores, so it might help a canker sore- I made a little paste from the tablet...
