bridal make-up and hair in Chicago?

Hello Beautiful Brides,

I am looking for a hair stylist and make up artist for me and my wedding party. I found few online and they charge about $125-$150 for bridal make up and another $125-$150 for hair. $65-$80 for bridesmaids' make up and same amount for bridesmaids' hair. Is this considered reasonable? It's much more than I expected and way above my budget. Does anyone know any good stylist that doesn't charge so much?

I'm a hairdresser and a bride to be. I specialize in weddings and wanted to give you some information. I would say what you have been quoted is average and a little high. If you can find someone who does hair and makeup that typically helps with the cost because they would be doing double services on each person. I would quote for updo or style $80- $100 per person and makeup is $50. I also have a one time kit fee of $50 and that covers gas, parking, etc. The only problem in having the same person doing everything you are limited on the number of people who can be finished in a reasonable time.
