I'm looking for a seamstress to alter the dress that I bought and filene's basement. Does anyone know of a reputable person to do dress alterations? Thanks!

I second this! Has anyone utilized a seamstress in the D.C. area who was quick, reasonably priced, and did fabulous work?
I'm ordering a bridal dress and I need someone who can work within a close (but not ridiculously close) timeframe to get some basic alterations done.

Hi! I posted the first comment, and have since gotten married. I found a *great* seamstress though a co-worker. Her name is Beverly Passard, 301-604-9609. She is in Laurel and works out of her basement, but is the real deal. She did a wonderful job and I couldn't believe how low the price was!
