any help with ALL wedding planning

Hi!
I hope to get some replies and helpful hints but considering not alot of hawai'i brides are on the local talk site...I am planning my Kaneohe,Hawai'i wedding from Washington and I am looking for all recommended services that anyone can give me. From good flower buys to a good DJ please if ANYONE has planned a wedding in Hawai'i and used a good company, PLEASE let me know! I won't have time to go home to Hawai'i until christmas break and will only be home for 2 weeks to plan and hire services for my August 2006 wedding.
SO PLEASE HELP ME!

Apparently no one uses this forum, which is sort of depressing since I was looking for help as well!

I've just been internet researching (my wedding will be on Maui) but here is a site that may help you too:

there are links to different caterers from this site- not all are on here- i also got recommendations for caterers from the condos my wedding and reception will be at

i've also found that a 'traditional' google search involving the word wedding doesn't get you too far- mostly highly commercialized wedding packages. online newspapers have some listings- you can also find good ones linked through other wedding pages- and i've been trying to get recommendations from every vendor i talk to for other vendors (asking a videographer about a florist, etc)

i found my sight by calling a condo management/booking company and asking them about their properties. they didn't think anything could hold a wedding. i then asked for a wedding planner recommendation. from the wedding planner they recommended i found out an ideal site for the wedding. (i hadn't booked anything with the wedding planner either!) so i guess that's something else to think about!

Thanks for your help! I've been looking into things also, and I'm not sure if your military but if you or anyone you know is, almost every company I asked are willing to give some sort of military discount. Hope that helps and good luck also!
