Hi all,
I just wanted to recommend Gowns To Go (Oakland Pk. Blvd., east of I-95) to anyone looking for a gown in South Florida. The owner, Judy, was friendly and sweet, and she let me and my mom browse around the store on our own. She only came into the fitting room after asking, and she was honest about whether she thought the dresses I was trying on were flattering. I found the PERFECT dress there (Kathryn La Croix), but I wasn't sure whether I wanted to commit to it. She told me to go home and think about it, and even gave me the web address of an online bridal store so I could look at the dress at home. Right before I got in my car, I went back inside and put down a deposit. She took down my information and called me 3 days later to say she'd ordered the dress. 3 months later, she calls me again to tell me it's already arrived, and she'd store it for me until it was time for alterations. I called 1 month after that to make an appointment for my first fitting, and the seamstress (also very nice, don't remember her name) said that she didn't need me to come in until 2 weeks before the wedding! She let me come in early, and so my dress will be ready to go about a week before the big day. :-) They didn't even try to push headpieces, veils, or slips on me, and they thought it was cool that I bought my tiara off Ebay. After reading the horror stories in Bridal Bargains, I was glad to find this place.
