Affordable Dressmaker?

I am having trouble finding a "perfect" wedding dress, and so am now considering just designing my own and having a dressmaker create it from scratch. Does anyone have any contacts for an affordable, trustworthy, and good dressmaker in Orange County?

I'm having the same problem and am also in Orange County. I've been interested in visiting "The Dresser" in Fullerton but I just have a feeling that her custom gowns will cost a small fortune. I've sketched my own dress and found look a likes in magazines, but I want something that I know I will look good in and most importantly, be comfortable in.

I know that I could buy one and have it transformed and altered, but by the time I do that and with all the money I spend... I should have just found a custom dressmaker.
