try tivoli terrace in laguna beach.

it's a one stop kinda shop....they provide everything without you having to worry. And it is beautiful!

they also have 2 other locations.

The Hacienda in Santa Ana, and Tivoli Too in Laguna Beach (my choice).

Hi Ladies!

Stay away from the Newport Beach yachts. I just took a look at one of the companies the other night, then ran into a friend at dinner who used to work for the charter companies a few years back. She told me that these yachts promise you the world. But, when your day comes you are treated like just another number & she even told me about one coordinator in particular who has made numerous brides cry.

When I asked the coordinator some of the 'what to ask' questions from the book (ie, more than one event booked on my wedding day, how do you handle crisis situations, etc), she never gave me a direct answer, but merely danced around the topic. If you are set on having the ceremony/reception on a boat, go with the Ikon. Apparently it's a mom & pop business and they bring in friends & family members as the crew. Unlike the big charter companies who are just trying to turn as many events as possible.

Hope that helps!

Try the Queen Mary in Long Beach. I was SO surprised to see how gorgeous the ship is and how much character it has. It's not a vanilla & boring 'country club' facility with bad chicken. No site fee and the per person rate runs about $60-$80pp. The food is amazing too. If you have 200 people, you will be able to get the queen's salon. It's all renovated in it's original deco decor & has it's original art, wood & light fixutres. It's GORGEOUS!

We're having trouble finding affordable (less that $9,000) for 200 people indoor with dinner locations. Everything seems to just be a huge rip off. I'd appreciate any tips advice or suggestions for locations... we'd prefer something somewhat classy. Any ideas?

A friend of mine had her wedding at the Queen Mary. I'm not sure how much it cost, but she said it was "really reasonable." It was a really fun location.

I booked my wedding at the Holiday Inn in Buena Park, Ca. Right of the 91 freeway. It is very affordable--prices are guaranteed and will not increase once you book (hard to find). There are at least 4-5 food choices for each price (I believe there are 3 different price options). Usually, there is a different price per dish. My wedding isn't until July, but I am very happy with this place. Especially since I have visited a few times to see other wedding set ups and I even asked a bridesmaid how the food was--it was excellent!
