Bridal gown rentals in Bay Area?

I know the book says they're hard to find, but does anyone know of a bridal and/or bridesmaid gown rental place? If you do rent, how do you handle alterations? Thanks!

I think that there is one in Sacramento??? I remember seeing an ad for a shop like that when I was planning my wedding.

I've *heard* that Margene's in Oakland (on Grand Ave.) will rent dresses. She's been in business for a very long time and many brides rave about her alteratios.

I'm looking for the same information. Our photography studio, Loveliness, in SF offers gown and bridesmaids rentals, so you can start there, but I wanted to find other options and just to comparison shop. Also just found a site online rentyourdress.com where they ship you the dress but I didn't like any of the dresses; not sure if they're brand name or not. Good luck!
