Hi, does anyone have any recommendations for a caterer for the Tri Valley in the Bay Area? I'm on a tight budget and I'm looking for someone who will caterer for less than $16 per guest. I have 270 people on the guest list so minimums are not a problem.
Thanks,
Elaina

I would love to know this as well. We will have 130-150 guests, and are looking to have the reception outside at a park. (There is no full kitchen available, but a microwave, single burner, & small sink.)

I posted on another thread as well, but here are my favorite 3 caterer choices:
1. Pacific Coast Events
http://www.pacificcoastevents.com/
2. Tri Valley Personal Chefs
http://www.tvpchefs.com
3. Alta Cuisine
http://www.altacuisine.com/
(I have only tasted with and talked to each, but all 3 were very responsive & great to work with! They all use fresh ingredients as well, and organic when possible. Our final choice was Pacific Coast Events because they had such a flexible menu and they do rentals as well- that worked out great for our complicated rental situation... Alta would coordinate rentals but I ended up doing most of the legwork due to our complicated location.)
There was one other company which claimed that they could work with our budget- Culinary Excellence. They kept dropping the ball and not responding to me when they said they would, so I gave up on them.

I've talked several times with Tri Valley Chefs and was very happy with their responsiveness. I haven't gone for a tasting yet, but look forward to it.
