Moissanite

If you are looking for an alternative to a diamond but want the same look - check out a moissanite! My fiance' and I saw a special on TV (ABC I believe) and many jewelers couldn't tell the difference. We still were not firm believers until we saw it in person. The stone is absolutely beautiful and it tests as a diamond....at 1/10 the cost. We are in our early thirties and buying & furnishing a new house and planning a wedding all at the same time. I would rather have the extra money for those things. A diamond doesn't mean anything to me. In fact, I think my moissanite is even more beautiful. I just started reading the Bridal Bargains book and "poof" they mentioned moissanite. I just want to make a comment on it b/c I personally wear one and get compliments everyday! Hope this helps someone out there! :)

Mine was $999. for a 1.5 carat solitare.

I also have a moissanite 3 stone ring with 1 CTW. It appraised at $6000 and we paid $300. No one could ever tell the difference - obviously including the jeweler who appraised and sized the ring.

(And by the way, I am a huge critic of CZ. Moissanite is nothing like CZ.)
