Hey brides! My fiance and I have dreamed of going up the coast (we're from S.F.) to bed and breakfasts for our honeymoon. However, they can be hit or miss, so if anyone out there has suggestions, please just toss me the name of a place, a rating from 1-5 (5 highest), and any tidbits of deals (we're WAY low-budget on this wedding). Much love and peace,
jenn :)

I am thinking of doing the same thing and I am using the Karen Brown guide for my planning (available on Amazon or in any bookstore). Although I haven't been to any of the places in her books on CA or the Pacific Northwest, my fiance and I spend three weeks in Europe last year staying exclusively in inns she recommended in France, Germany and Austria. We also used the itineraries in the book for our driving tour and we've never had such a successful and romantic trip. Not one of the places we stayed in was a bust- each one was unique and provided a different memory of the vacation.

For a preview of some of the places covered, go to http://www.karenbrown.com to check out some recommendations.

Best of luck with the planning!
Colleen

The Cottage Grove Inn in Calistoga is just soo luxurious and romantic! The only problem is that they are very expensive. Each cottage has their own theme, check out DVDs from the office for free, jacuzzi tub, mini-bar, free scrumptious breakfast, afternoon tea and wine and cheese. It was heavenly but very expensive. Maybe you can go for just a few days?
