My fiance found a great website for Tahiti vacations www.tahitilegends.com They have package deals that include airfare and hotel accomodations and lots of other great stuff to add on. They even have the "Perfectly Priced Packages". If you want a resort experience the prices are higher, but if you are looking to enjoy the local culture and stay at a moderately priced hotel - you can go to paradise for under $1200 a week per person (includes hotel for 7 nights, airfare from LA and transfers and some fun and some fun adventures - no food). Normally airfare to Tahiti is about $1100 from LA - so this is an awesome deal. The travel agency seems to be on the up and up and their brochure is great - lots of local information.
