I just received a quote from a photographer here in New York city and I'm wondering if any one could tell me if this sounds like a good deal.
QUOTE:
My basic package starts at $1800.00- this includes 5 hours of photography, 5 free rolls of 35mm film, a photo assistant and negatives free of charge.
I personally photograph all the weddings I book.
I develop and print all the negatives. All my packages include a set of 4” x6“ size prints.
In an average 7 hours wedding day I will start with the bride getting
ready, the ceremony, family shots, cocktail hour, dinner, dances and cake cutting.
I use Nikon 35mm cameras and Mamiya medium format cameras. The film I use is Fuji color film and Kodak b/w film.
I always work with an assistant.
I do offer beautiful leather bound albums with prices starting at $500.
