Tablecloths

Does anyone have ideas on where to buy discount tablecloths (linen not plastic). To rent plain white ones is $12 a piece, and I can’t believe it isn’t possible to buy them somewhere for the same or lower price.

Have you tried Ebay? I just checked and there are quite a few auctions for a case lot (24) of white cotton tablecloths. It's a start, and I hope it helps. Good luck!!

That sounds like a high price for rentals. I have been quoted about 8 bucks a piece.

Also, I recently heard of a bride finding great bulk deals on unique fabric and using them for table clothes. This can be done to create overlays too.

Have you tried a restaruant supply store?
How about Gordon Food Service?
Also, have you thought about just checking around for clearance and also material by the yard. If you keep everything in the same color family, but mix and match, it could come out really neat! Say all blues, ivory's etc.
Also, might consider putting add in paper?
Here is another idea...I have a friend who works in the sales office of a hotel. In the past, she has allowed us to borrow some when we needed them..just had to rt clean! Also, when the hotel was changing all their linen, she gave them to us for our veterans group.
Some we kept and others we didn't, but I sure wish I had them now!
I could sure use them for my wedding!

This sounds kind of tacky, but it works-buy white twin flat sheets from wal-mart. They cost aroung three bucks each, and are 90 by 60.

I found chaircovers.net starts renting tablecloths for about $4/each.

For my country-style wedding we are using vintage table cloths. I have found them in many colors and sizes with beautiful floral designs. I see antique stores selling them for up to $50 each, but I have had good luck finding them at garage sales and flea markets for 25 cents- $2 a piece.
