Wedding Invitations Received in 3 DAYS! Wow!

Just wanted to post the great experience I had with www.theamericanwedding.com website for my wedding invitations! I placed my order for 150 invitations online last Monday - super easy and I even got to see what the invitations would look like with "my" information - so cool! And then the invitations actually arrived on Thursday - just 3 days later! They are absolutely beautiful! I liked the fact that there were no hidden costs - everything was spelled our and very clear to understand. Extremely well priced! The quality of the paper is excellent and the printing appears to be "raised ink!" Gorgeous! So they definitely have my stamp of approval! AND other places actually charged me for their samples, while The American Wedding not only sent 6 samples (of my choosing)free, along with their catalog, but I had the samples/catalog in about 3 days! The other places took up to 2 weeks.

I think their shipping/handling fees are a little "hidden" especially when they say "it's impossible to quote shipping charges until your order is printed and ready for shipping". Glad you had a good experience. I just have a pet peeve about places that advertise "low..cheap" prices, then tack on high handling and high shipping charges. In the end...you don't save anything more than you would if you went with an experienced on-line discount stationer who has the knowledge and expertise and will go over every detail with a fine tooth comb to be sure that your information is correct and socially proper. If you make a mistake with American Wedding...it will cost YOU. Bottom line is, if you are confident in the art of invitation wording and etiquette, and quality of stock is of little importance...then go for it. However, if you want the expertise on proper wordage and layout...go with someone who can guide you through the process...and give you the best product for the same amount of money. Look for someone experienced who offers a discount with Free shipping and no handling charges. (3-day shipping is not unusual for any printer). Most orders received will ship within 24 hours.
