For my October wedding I wanted to send out Save the Date cards to all my guests - especially my out of town guests. I had a really hard time finding exactly what I wanted. I went from cheesy invitation websites to some that wanted close to $900 for 100 save the date cards. This is more than my actual wedding invitations! I even pondered making them myself, but the time and material cost just wasn't feasible. I knew I wanted to have a picture of my fiancee and I as the main part of the Save the Date card. I checked out the website - www.shutterfly.com per a referral from one of my bridesmaids. This site allows you to download any pictures you have on CD or as a jpeg. file and you can create your own account posting all of your downloaded pictures. Creating an account is free and you can purchase any prints or projects you create with your pictures at a minimal fee. They have many options to create great note cards, get prints of any size, and even make calendars. I ordered 100 Save the date cards and it only cost me $1.19 per card (will be cheaper if you have fewer people to send Save the Dates to). The picture I chose is the cover and the Save the Date message is posted on the inside. There are many options to choose from such as creating borders, captions, changing color photos to black and white and the fees are really low. After ordering them, I got my cards with envelopes included (at no extra fee)within 2 days, the picture quality was great and the card quality was fantastic.

If you want to have Save the Date cards and do not want to pay close to $900, please visit www.shutterfly.com. It was a great service and really easy to use. You can create something that really reflects who you are.
