Wedding Website Etiquette

I know that it is a no no to list your gift registries on your invitations, but where and how is it appropriate to inform your guests of a website that details hotel and area info (but also has registry info)? Is it okay to put the url on the save-the-date cards? Or should it be word of mouth?

There's no hard and fast rule concerning website URLs. I would definitely leave website addresses off of the formal invitation...however, I think it would be perfectly acceptable to put it on Save-the-Dates, Shower Invitations and the Reception Card. However, do not mention that registry information is on the website (many people would find that tacky...an implied assumption that you are asking for a gift). Instead either let them know by word-of-mouth or let them figure it out themselves when they are exploring your website.
