A great way to save money on invitations is to use the "send and seal" invites. I know many of you have probably heard of them or have used them before, but I just wanted to mention it because I didn't hear anything about it in the bargain book. A great way to save money is to use the invitiations that have the response card attatched to the bottom of the single page invitation that folds and seals so that there are not even any envelopes involved. The entire thing uses only one regular .37 stamp and the return is only a post card stamp and you never had to buy envelopes. I've seen them as low as .85 an invite too. Just wanted to pass it on!

You are very right! They are a great money saver and they are available in several styles. If I had known about them when I married, I would have loved them.

Thanks for the info! I have never heard about this type of invite but what I did to cut down cost was set up a wedding RSVP hotline/voicemail box and a newly created email address for people to either call or email their RSVP. This saved me on the RSVP cards, the stamp that goes on it and the extra weight and postage that goes with the invite.
