Hi:
Like each of you I'm trying to save time and money. I'm making my own invites and am searching for a certain font I've seen and love. Of course, the stationary company identifies it by number. Any clues as to how I may find out what this font is called and better yet download for free? Am I asking for the world?
Many thanks!

you can always do a search for "free fonts". I did and the first place to come up with 1001freefonts.com. Since you don't know the name you might just have to look for one close to that style. If you have a sample of the font I could look at it and try to identify. I'm a graphic designer so I've seen my share. Good luck!

Is the stationery company online? Maybe we can identify the font if we can see it.

Thanks for the kind offer. I'm looking for a font listed in Regency as 008-831 ...if that helps at all. It is also featured on a picture of an invite for William Arthur's new Special Occassions Collection. that is all I know.
Thanks again for the kind offer. I don't have a scanner, so I can't show what I mean.

Can you post the link to the picture of the William Arthur invite? I found the font styles for Regency & William Arthur. I'm just trying to narrow it down to the one you're looking for.

Are you using a dual font?

Thanks so much for your help. I found the name of the font I'm interested. Actually I'm trying to decide between Cezanne and one called texas hero. They are not available for free anywhere I've tried. Any suggestions?
Really grateful-

I have downloaded a bunch of good script fonts from a french-english site - dafont.com. They also have a forum where you can get some fonts from other users, that are otherwise pay for use.

Hey there....there are a lot of fonts available for free, all it takes is a little time and a lot of patience. Go to a good search engine, like google.com, and search for "Free Fonts", you'll really have to go thru the sites to see what you like - you'll get a lot of pop-up adds, but you will find some really nice fonts. Unfortunately, I don't think a lot of the fonts used by the invitation/stationery companies are available for free, but you can find comparable fonts for free....
good luck :-)

Here are several websites with good script fonts. DaFont has message boards where you can request fonts that are unavailable for free download. Myfonts is good for listing a ton of sript fonts. Good luck hope you find what your looking for. I have a bunch of scripts, e-mail me if you want the list.
