I want to invite certain people to the reception only...so what do i do?

Hello,

My fiance and i are planning a small, intimate, outdoor family and a few close friends ceremony, but intend on having a cocktails, music and nachos reception.

so for the people who we only want at the reception, which is something like a quarter to half of our guest list, what do we send them in terms of an invitation? do we just send them reception cards? and how would we go about that? or could we get the bigger invitation as the reception invite and make the reception cards into ceremony invites? has anyone ever done this before? any ideas would be very appreciated.

The first time I got married, we had this kind of setup, too... very small ceremony with additional people invited for the reception. We had two sets of invitations -- they looked just alike, but were worded differently.

The reception invitation said something like "Please join us for a reception honoring the marriage of... ", etc. and listed a time that was about an hour after the ceremony.
