I made my own wedding invitations with papers primarily from Marco's Printed Products Company. Their website is www.marcopaper.com. Their specialty is sheer vellum envelopes in almost every color imaginable which make for very elegant wedding invites. I am having an African-Caribbean themed wedding, so I purchased an inside envelope in heavy metal (with cute little copper, silver and gold flecks going through white vellum)and a natural linen card stock in a #6 size which I'll run through my printer for the actual invite. The invites are VERY unique and elegant and my bridesmaids who got a preview of them are holding on to them as keepsakes (I am also going to sprinkled rice and beans and place a petrified sheer mango leaf inside each invite to add to the Caribbean Flair).
Anyway, the staff at Marcos are extremely helpful, and they also ship very promptly.
My only problem is that the outter envelope I ordered from them in Shimmering Gold Vellum was not shimmering at all, so I had to order that from another vendor. But they credited my card right away.
I'm getting married on August 24, 2002 in Duxbury, MA by the Beach, so I'll share any other tidbits I have with you all.
