Are you looking for favors as in table favors? Or are you looking for gifts for them?

Jewelry seems to be eternally popular -- and thats one less thing that your girls would have to buy. I gave my bridesmaids three blue topaz and sterling pendants, a jewelery box, and manicure kits. Hit http://www.servicemerchandise.com and check out the selection! LOTS and LOTS of stuff to choose from at great prices. I'm getting some jewelry for my mother-in-law for christmas from here.

Certificates to a day spa or for a massage would go over well too, I think. I know I could have used one! lol

Men are hard to shop for. My husband ended up going to a Things Remembered store and getting engraved pocket knives. I guess the best way to pick something out is to set a limit per gift and then start bargain-hunting.

Good luck!

You may want to try the website www.overstock.com. They have some pretty good deals on lots of stuff. So pretty good deals on jewelry etc...

We decided to get George Foreman Grills for the groomsmen. It is sort of quirky, but they will get some good use out of them. We bought at Wal-Mart after Christmas. Each was about $13. For my bridesmaids, I'm thinking of making them garment bags (well, having crafty cousins make them). They will all need to travel to get to the wedding so I may send the bags to them before the wedding for transporting their dresses. Hope that helps.

I am getting my bridesmaids gifts individually that they will love. One of my bridesmaids is into punk rock music so I am getting her two tickets to a show, another is an aspiring makeup artist, so I am getting her a gift Certificate to MAC cosmetics. I think it is way more personal. My maid of honor is my best friend for years since we were kids. Im getting all my pictures of us growing up together and scanning them onto one page in black and white includin a space for a wedding pic of the two of us. I think she will love it.

That is a great idea for the bride who are very close with the bridesmaids or you only have a few because it can get very costly. Also, the gifts given are usually a token thanking them for agreeing to be part of your wedding. Sometimes, people expect more. It shouldn't be that way.

For my bridesmaids, I gave them each two Mikasa votive candle holders, bought at an outlet mall. They are nice & heavy - they felt much more expensive than they cost.

For the groomsman, we picked out neat little desk clock cubes from www.levenger.com. They were about $40 each, but we only had 3 attendants each. My DH still has a few gifts he received as an attendant - a monogrammed hip flask and a personalized tiny swiss army pocketknife.

Congratulations Kelly on your new baby!

Thank you for mentioning about the outlets. There are several in Southern CA that I can think of and probably more that have outlets such as Lennox, Mikasa, Waterford and the like where you can save a lot of money from the discount off retail.

The following are some areas that come to mind but with a quick search online, you will be able to find a lot more.

Ontario Mills in Ontario, CA
Carlsbad Country Stores in Carlsbad, CA
Viejas Outlet in Alpine, CA
Cabazon Outlet on the way to Palm Springs from LA
Citadel in LA, CA
San Ysidro Outlet in San Diego, CA (near the U.S./Mexico border)

I have a warning to this though, make sure you know your prices before you go into the outlet because sometimes, merchandise at a regular store with an additional 15%-50% off may be LESS than at an outlet. So be cautious, be smart and buyer be beware.

check out www.bath-pleasures.com... 3 bath goodies for about $8, homemade and organic and luxurious/natural looking.. plus www.orientaltrading.com has cute little canvas bags like beach bags, I think $12 for 8! you could toss in a cheapie pair of flip flops or sunglasses or a candle and make a fun little spa at home bag.

I found brand new Cross pens on Ebay for 1/4 of original price. Then I took all 6 pens (3 girls & 3 guys) to Things Remembered to engrave - it was a $10 carry-in fee plus $5 engraving per pen. So, the total for six engraved Cross pens was $100, not bad at all.

I'm giving my bridesmaids gift certificates to Victoria's Secret. They can be in any amount you want and you don't have to worry about sizes and favorite colors. Or they can get perfume or lotion! Its a win/win situation!
