I'm trying to keep the costs down for my maids and still get the dresses to them in time for the wedding. After recieving quotes of nearly 6 months for delivery from Mori Lee, I gave up on those dresses and resorted to searching internet stores. I found a great site!!!
http://bridesandprom.com
Most of the dresses are under $125, and many are under a hundred. They offer free shipping and don't charge tax unless your order is over $110 in NY state. They have a pretty good selection, and many styles in plus sizes, which really helped me! Check out the prom dress styles too!

Hi!
Yep, my sister just ordered her bridesmaid dress from them. They're REALLY good about getting back to you with answers to questions. The dresses they show don't have color swatches in each color available, so when I wanted to know what Victorian Blue looked like, John (who i suspect is one of the owners)went and tracked down a picture of another dress in Victorian Blue so I could see it! I thought that was absolutely fabulous of him!
Shipping takes 7-10 (or is it 10-14?) business days -- since its free, I'm not complaining! lol I think they have rush shipping available now, though.
When the dress arrives, I'll post an update :-)

I read this thread a few weeks ago, and looked up that site. I absolutely agree - the dresses are very inexpensive (for the same kind of dress, you'd pay 3x as much for through a "bridesmaid designer"). I asked a question via email, and got an answer back the next day - very prompt!
Did not order from them, but would definitely recommed at least checking out the site. I think you'll be impressed. Great tip!

My sisters' dress arrived two days ago -- it looks fabulous!!!! I cheked over it -- solidly constructed -- it even has a built-in crinoline! (Style is "Vicky", by the way)
From when it was shipped out (they emailed us to say it had been shipped), it only took 4 days to get here!
Great customer service, a good product and fantastic prices -- I'd say this is the place to go!

One last update! The wedding was two weeks ago (thank god I'm done with the planning!) The bridesmaids looked fantastic -- and I have to bow to John of http://shop.store.yahoo.com/dave-johnny/index.html He was absolutely fantastic and helped SO MUCH! Here's the story (this bride's nightmare!)
Its three weeks till the wedding, and I'm down at my mother's house (two states away) for a bridal shower. My sister and my Maid of Honor have both had their dresses for two months. I get an email from my Matron of Honor telling me that she hasn't ordered her dress, and when she tried, they had discontinued the style.
I emailed John at Brides and Prom for help, and he responded within two hours of my email. He checked the storeroom again for style Vicky, to no avail. He suggested a similar style, and after asking a few questions and talking to the seamstress there, he was able to tell me that style Emma could be altered to look like style Vicky! Ya-hoo! All this took course over one afternoon -- John deserves a medal for the help he gave me (both then and over the next two weeks when my Matron of Honor managed to screw up her order twice more)! He went WAY above and beyond the call of duty, and I can fearlessly reccomend him to anyone!
