Morilee gowns run small

I Just received my 5 Morilee bridesmaid dresses #350. After checking the sizing chart and talking with the people at Pearl's Place we placed our order. All five of the dresses were small-we found that they ran at least one size too small. Luckily some of the girls went up a size! Unfortunatly some didn't and they don't sell that particular fabric!

Well, to clarify this, Mori Lee gowns do not ALWAYS run small. Like other bridesmaids makers, Mori Lee has such poor quality control (and poory quality in general) that some batches may run small; others large. Be forewarned that Mori Lee maids have a very small seam allowance as well.

Hi Alan and Denise --

Do you know if the quality of Mori Lee dresses has improved this season? I really like three of the gowns they have on theeir website ( www.morileeinc.com )-- styles # 606, 608, and 616. My maids range from a street size 6 to a street size 24, so should I avoid this designer because of their sizing/quality control issues?

I had the same problem with all four of my bridesmaid gowns. They were all too small and the amount of work that would have been needed to alter them was just too much. Not to mention the fact that they might not turn out right - then what! So, I just went to JCPenney's and ordered four Scott McClintock dresses (which by the way arrive in three weeks and can even be sent back if they are not the right size - no charge!)
