Any thoughts on Allin Raye?

I'm in love with an Allin Raye bridal gown, but since this designer does absolutely no advertising (no catalog or website), I've been having a tough time doing any research. I can't get the bridal salon where I found the dress to give me its model number, and without it, I can't do any comparison shopping. Help!

Thanks for using the boards. We just had a thought. Allin Raye is a Canadian manufacturer and may advertise in Canadian magazines more than in the US. You might want to see if your local bookstore or newsstand can get you a copy of a Canadian magazine like Wedding Bells. Wedding Bells also has a web site at www.weddingbells.com.

I AM IN THE EXACT SAME BOAT YOU ARE IN. I remember recently seeing some Barbara Allin bridal gown ads in the March edition of Bride's (or maybe it was Modern Bride) magazine.

I was interested in a Barbara Allin dress for a time, and was unable to find any discount service that carried her line of bridal gowns. However, you could try calling up a bridal shop in Canada and seeing if they can help you. Buying from Canada is almost as good as going through a discount service what with the exchange rate being in our favor.

Thanks for helping out. I ended up buying a dress, but before I did I called the Allin Raye headquarters and talked to someone there. He told me that they are just now beginning to advertise because they had a problem with other companies copying their dresses for cheaper. For any brides who are interested, they are going to have their dresses at www.theknot.com. However, the last time I checked I still couldn't find them there.
