I found my dream dress and it's an Eve of Milady. The store is selling it for $3000, and I received an online quote of 1/2 that price. My concern is that I have been reading about how unreliable the manufacturer is, and that it could take a minimum of 30 weeks to get the dress. Most online retailers do not even represent Eve of Milady anymore, but I have found one that does.
Has anyone had any experiences with this manufacturer?

Hi there. Thanks for being the first to jump in and post a message to our brand new boards.
Well, as you know, Eve is NOT our favorite bridal gown designer for the reasons we outline in our books and BridalGown.com. Thanks to their own mis-steps, they are not nearly as popular as in year's past (as evidenced by the number of shops that carry the line).
That said, if you have PLENTY of time before your wedding (8 months or more), then it would probably be OK.
Let us know how it goes,

My cousin had a Eve gown and it took about 8 or 9 months to arrive in a very reputable store.
As a note to Alan, this board will be wonderful, thanks for inviting me to chat.

Hi, I am going thru a similar ordeal - I found a Yolanda Coture gown for $3,500 and received a $2,450 quote - but that's still too much for me and I'm in love w/this dress. I was thinking maybe you could call this online place and ask your question to them, they seem very helpful. They have a 1800 # it's 1-800-464-6967 - the site is Netbride.com.
Could you please tell me where you received the 1/2 price quote. I want that dress so bad.
Good luck and thanks in advance.

Hi, I believe I received the quote using gownsonline.com. They forward your request to several people and they email you back. You may also want to look up RK bridals on the internet, they have a website and phone number you can call, and I believe they had a 1/2 price quote. I read that they are very reliable for ordering gowns online. Hope that helps.
P.S. I tried my dream gown on again, and I couldn't remember why I liked it so much the first time, so I've found other gowns I like better since then!
