A great lightweight stroller!, June 23, 2008

Pros: lightweight, reclines, canopy, cupholder, easy steering, padded seat, 1-hand compact umbrella fold
Cons: sometimes kick the wheels

I absolutely LOVE this stroller! I needed a lightweight stroller for running errands, etc, and this stroller is the PERFECT solution!

I first purchased a Maclaren Triumph, but was quickly frustrated by its ridiculously small sun canopy, virtually non-existent seat recline, impossible to use storage basket, & lack of cup holder. I then researched some more and came up with the 2008 Zooper Twist, and ditched the Triumph on craigslist - best decision I've ever made. I have the red color, and am so impressed with its quality and how easily it maneuvers - so easy to steer. Plus its extremely lightweight for having so many bells & whistles - I mean seriously, it even comes with a rain cover, UV shield, and cold weather boot! My 7 month old daughter is so happy riding in it, and is comfortable in its nicely padded seat. I love that she's easily protected from having the sun in her face with the amazing canopy on this stroller.

To anyone who is contemplating a Maclaren Triumph or Quest - don't do it - trust me, go with the Zooper Twist, you'll be so much happier!!

Does the job, but has quality issues, May 21, 2007

Pros: lightweight, roomy seat.
Cons: reclining the seat takes effort and coordination!

We paid around $125 for this stroller, and were initially quite happy with it. It manouvered easily, has a well padded and roomy seat, and also allows ventilation at the back. The boot and sunshield were nice extras as well. It is lightweight and easy to lift into the car. I've also found that cleaning the upholstery was not too difficult. To recline the seat however requires bending over and fiddling around to get both sides evenly reclined (!) - it takes getting used to. We bought the stroller when my son was eight months old, and although it is designed for six months and up, the harness straps were way too roomy for quite some time.

A year down the line, I've had some good use out of the stroller, but it doesn't manouver as easily, the cloth on the seat is fraying badly, and the sunshade no longer opens out all the way (it was permanently bent out of shape early on before I realized that you're supposed to fold the shade back before folding the stroller). This would probably make a good second stroller, but it didn't stand up well to a year of dailly use on the streets of Manhattan. And one more thing - it doesn't seem like the most comfortable arrangement to have the upholstery attached to the frame by running two strong straps right beneath the baby's seat! It is a hammock seat, so as my son grew heavier, his poor bottom was resting on one of the straps - which I now keep permanently undone - and the seat seems none the looser for it.

Pros: Lightweight, maneuverable, easy open/close
Cons: Small child had to grow into it

We paid $179 for it (green never got discounted & DH wanted green) when our daughter outgrew the Snap & Go (she was ready to see where she was going & was getting pretty snug in the infant carseat). We love our Zooper! We used the boot at first & she could barely peek over it, but it did keep her v warm. Now it's spring & we used the (included) UV cover over the weekend. Incredibly simple to install (two snaps & two loops), she played with it for a while with her feet, then fell asleep. I especially love that I can zip out the back to give her more air circulation when it's warm.

We had two small problems with it (one of the latches snapped & the rear wheels were going bald fast) but Amanda in customer service was great. We live in the same city as Zooper, so I just dropped off the stroller & they'll have it back to me tomorrow, fixed. That's customer service.
