LOVE IT! Great Stroller with everything I need!, March 23, 2007

Pros: Quality product! Adjustable handle bars, the back pockets!
Cons: does not full recline

We purchased the 2006 Zooper Hula ($160? on ebay at the end of the year), and totally love it!

I found it to be lightweight, and easy to use. I had no problems managing it in and out of the trunk myself or lifting it over a curb. It's easy to fold and unfold. You release the tab that holds it together, give it a shake, and step on the thing in the back, and it's unfolded and ready to use. I can push the stroller with one hand. I am able to put my graco Safeseat into it and it clicks onto the carseat bar without a problem. i did not know that it latches on, and when i was trying to remove the carseat, i thought there was something wrong. then my husband told me that i have to lift the release thing on the carseat ( like i would with the carseat base). it also has a strap to strap the carseat in if you need to.

I love all the extras that came with it. the Boot, the sun and rain shades. But most of all, i love the fabric. its nice and water resistant on its own. love the adjustable heights handles too. the back pockets are roomy and handy. i put all my diaper bag needs in there...enough for the trip.

I think its a stroller that has everything we will need through toddlerhood. the only thing that i wished it had is a fully reclined seat. but then again, kids sleep anywhere, right?

Customer service is great too. The front wheels rattled and i did not like the sound. so i emailed zooper and they sent me new wheels.

Pros: No extras to buy; study construction; great customer service
Cons: Fold stiff until you get the hang of it; no travel bag.

We opted for the Zooper Hula as a lightweight, travel stroller to keep in the car. It is beautiful! Substantial fabric, many features and extras that we did not have to add-on to our cost. Folding is a bit stiff but we expect that to go away w/ use. Seat reclines ALMOST flat (will probably not use w/o the infant carrier at first so not an issue). Cup holder included which many more expensive strollers charge extra for. I wish it came with or offered a travel bag as optional. However, I found that it fits in the JL Childress Gate Check II for Strollers bag (available at www.jlchildress.com or www.target.com). Simply turn the front wheels in and it fits perfectly. www.babycatalog.com currently has a nice selection of 2007 Zooper strollers for half off (we paid half of the MSRP of $289.99).

Sturdy Stroller with Lots of Extras, January 30, 2007
Reviewer: Kindra178 from Chicago, Il

Overall Grade   7.00/10  (7)

Pros: Very nice fabric and sturdy with a sunshade and boot
Cons: Heavy, tricky fold and car seat weight limit is 20 pounds

I bought the 2006 model in Red from Albee Baby for $179, with no tax and no shipping charges. The Hula is a good looking stroller with very easy set up (easier than my P3 or Valco). The directions were easy and clear. The fabric, part of Zooper's elite line, is really thick and luxurious. The Hula doesn't seem as plasticky as my P3, yet it seems heavier (although it's not supposed to be) and it doesn't accept a Graco Snugride that goes up to 22 pounds (every Snugride on the market now). The fold is also not as easy as the P3. All in all, a solid stroller but a few notable drawbacks.
