Pros:
Great stroller for a great price
Cons:
Sun shade immobile, so sun shines in the baby's face.
|
|
I love my Zooper Swing stroller and I get compliments on it all of the time. The downsides are that the sunshade doesn't move, so sun is often in the baby's face, a bolt on the back of the stroller sautered off making it so that the stroller only worked in the laying all the way back position, it's relatively large/heavy, the basket isn't very useful, there is no tray for the child on the front, and there is no cup for the parents. Additionally, from what I understand, the Swing differs from it's predecessor by having handles that expand for taller people. It's fine for me at 5'4", but my 6'2" husband still has to bend over to push the stroller. The positives about this stroller are the following: it comes with all of the great accessories, it has comfy fabric for the baby, it is incredibly easy to handle over all terrains, it's a good price for what you get, it has various seat positions for the baby, but most importantly the customer service is great. As I mentioned in the negatives, the frame broke. I emailed CS and they had me send them a picture. They ended up sending me a new frame for no charge. I really enjoy this stroller and love its ease of use, I'm thinking that when I have another baby I'll more than likely purchase a double Zooper stroller at that time. Also, I bought this sight unseen, based on the recommendation in the BB book and what people have said on the internet (no store around here carries this stroller), I've always been thrilled with that decision.

Pros:
Seat reclines, the frame and wheels are durable
Cons:
The 5-point harness is not snug, doesn't fit
|
|
I'm not going to write a long review because I agree with all the other reviews on this Web site for the Zooper Swing. I'm writing this review to share my experiences with the Swing for an older child. I purchased my Zooper Swing in brown/orange in the fall of 2005, before my son was born. It was GREAT to hold my Graco Snugride when my son was an infant. However, when my son outgrew the infant car seat, the straps on the Zooper were way too big. Now my son is 19 months and the straps are still WAY TOO BIG. In fact, for many months I just sat my son in the stroller and didn't strap him up. He was semi-secure because of the front bar (as long as he didn't try to climb out). However, as my son grew in length, the front bar became an annoyance. When I'd place him in the stoller when he was sleeping (like when transfering him from the car seat to the stroller), his legs would rest on top of the bar because bending his legs to fit under the bar would wake him up. My husband has since removed the front bar, and now I've realized that I need to strap my son up. But really...the straps are a joke. As each day goes by, this problem is becoming more and more of an annoyance to the point that I'm now in the market to purchase a new, lightweight umbrella stroller with a secure 5-point harness like the Uppa Baby G-lite or Maclaren Volo. If I had to do it all over again, I'd purchase the basic frame stroller that holds the Graco Snugride, then a very lightweight, full reclining umbrella stroller like the Maclaren Triumph. Just my $.02.

Pros:
Big enough for a 3 year old, but still perfect for a newborn
Cons:
Basket is a little small
|
|
I got the Pottery Barn Kids version of this stroller on a good sale and LOVE it. It has an umbrella fold, and fits easily in the trunk. The handles are cushy, and it feels good to push, even with a three year old in it. I love that there is a car seat bar, as well as a front bumper, and that it comes with the rain and bug covers, and the cosy toes. I have it in red, and the color is gorgeous--perfectly matches the PBK red/gray diaper bag. To solve the too-small basket problem, I put on a Maclaren organizer, and it works great. I would definitely purchase this storller again.

Pros:
Style, handling, accessories included, customer service
Cons:
Canopy, storage
|
|
The Swing is a great value -- it comes fully loaded with accessories included for less than comparable brands charge for their strollers alone. The wheels have a special shock-absorption system that, combined with great steering, make the Swing handle like a dream. The seat is plush and comfortable -- we've taken ours to Disney World twice and our toddler can nap in it easily. Although "suitable for a newborn," the recline is not completely flat, but that has never bothered us.Zooper's customer service is legendary, and justifiably so. Soon after buying it, I noticed that one of the front wheels didn't always touch the ground. I emailed customer service and they sent me a new frame within the week. Almost a year after buying it, I had trouble with the canopy not staying locked open. Once again, an email to customer service sent a new canopy to me within days. Now all I need is another seat-cover and some wheels and I’ll have a second stroller. The low points of the Swing are a canopy that doesn't fold down to the napper bar and the minimal storage basket that is a seemingly unavoidable side-effect of the umbrella-fold design. I added a sunshade accessory (the protect-a-bub) and I've just learned to live with less storage space. This is a great, comfortable stroller for long walks, days at theme parks, and long trips to the mall. It's a little on the heavy side and a little hard to fold if you plan to run many short errands lifting it in and out of the car. It fits our needs perfectly, however, and I'd gladly buy it all over again.

Pros:
Great wheels and solid construction
Cons:
Heavy, no cup holder, hard to reach basket
|
|
I bought this stroller based on positive reviews, but managed to get ripped off by a small local store. I paid about $230 for the Swing and I have seen much lower prices online (even lately in the Pottery Barn catalog). The stroller seems very sturdy and great for walking. I partly bought the stroller because I was so impressed by the quality of the wheels. The material and frame also appear high end. I wish the Swing had a child's tray, parent cupholder, and an easy to reach basket. It's not too hard to fold if you remove the foot warmer. Also, it's much heavier than I would like. The sun shade does not go down all the way, but a sun shield is included with the stroller. I'm hoping the stroller is compatible with the new Graco Safe Seat since other reviewers say it holds a Snugrider carseat. Too bad Zooper doesn't do carseats. I stayed away from travel systems based on the Baby Bargains book, but I wonder if a simple frame would be the best stroller to start out with...? As a new parent, I got caught up in the need for a fancy stroller. Oh well, at least I know the Zooper Swing is high quality and my husband likes the boyish style.
