Pros:
sturdy, lightweight
Cons:
straps are too big for smaller babies
|
|
We paid $80 for this stroller at Baby's 1st Furniture in Houston, TX, because it was on clearance. It is great for travel, very sturdy, no damage when gate checked on 4 seperate flights. It steers very well, but my baby is only 15lbs. This stroller easily fits in my hatchback leaving room for other items, like groceries where bigger strollers barely fit. The storage bin is more accessible than other umbrella strollers I've seen. Also it has storage pockets and a good sized canopy. The only downsides so far are that the straps are a bit too long, so I felt like he wasn't totally secure in it. It'll probably fit better when he gains a bit more weight. Also we purchased the storage bag which is a pretty snug fit. One of the seams ripped so we have to get that repaired. Overall though, we feel it's a great stroller for the price we paid.

Quality, Sturdiness, Good Storage, Great for Travel
Cons:

I paid 149$ online for my stroller at Albee Baby. I got the Brighton pattern, which I like but wouldn't recommend because the light gray canopy is too light and always looks dirty. I got this stroller over a Maclaren Triumph for its heftier, all-suspension wheels (better for rougher terrains) and handy storage pocket on the back of the canopy which I use all the time for my keys. It's light-weight, doesn't take up much room in trunk, steers well, although the wheels are a little big and sometimes "catch" on things when I am navigating through narrow spaces. I did have a problem once with the wheels "sticking". This was last winter when I was going through lots of ice, snow and salt. I simply WD-40ed them though and it was fine after that. I have taken this thing on numerous flights. It is a dream to travel with and I don't worry about it getting tossed around because it is SO sturdy. The storage basket is accessible although not huge, but I can fit my messenger style diaper bag in it. The one thing I am bummed about is that the seat is really narrow, width and length. My son sometimes slouches in his seat and if he wasn't buckled in would slide right off! I don't think it's comfortable for him for longer periods of time so for longer outings, I've taken to using my Graco Metrolite. In retrospect, I probably would have saved some money and gotten a Chicco London, which has a very wide, long seat and a much better canopy for that matter. Otherwise, it's a great stroller and I highly recommend for smaller children.

Pros:
Lightweight, stable, great suspension, good looks.
Cons:
Steering, recline, S.C. now out of business in USA

I paid $134 for this stroller in 2004. I purchased it primarily for a trip I was taking, but also wanted it to eventually replace my Inglesina Zippy as my quick-trip errand stroller (I planned to buy a jogger for long walks, which I did -- a Valco Runabout -- great stroller!). The Mini worked great for many months and I was quite happy with it, until my son hit about 18-20 pounds and it started steering like a beast. One-handed steering was no longer an option, and as my son grew, it became difficult to even maneuver the stroller two-handed. My son is now 25 pounds and 33 inches tall and while he is comfortable in the Mini with its nice suspension, it is just too annoying to push anymore. I'm in the market for a Maclaren.

Pros:
LIGHT! Conquers Cobblestone! Good Steering!
Cons:
Seat belt big, Little (but adequate) storage
|
|
This is my favorite stroller so far. I bought it for a trip to Europe and NYC, and it performed like a champ. Even my husband thought it was worth every penny! Steers very well, relatively easy to steer one handed on smooth areas or through a door while opening with the other hand. It takes bumps without a problem, and I couldn't have been happier with it on our trips. Love the carry handle. I now use it for an everyday stroller. There's no cupholder (which used to be of paramount importance to me but now I prefer a one-handed steering stroller). I use the canopy as a tray indoors- it will hold keys, pacis, bottled water. My only issues with it are these:
1. To stand, it must be on the handlebars (yuck)
2. My daughter wants to sit straight up, which can be accomplished by loosening the shoulder straps, but then she's not as secure.
3. The strap crotch is too long at the smallest adjustment. She's 18 months, average size, and still too small for the strap design. However, the waist straps can be tightened enough so I'm not afraid she will fall/wiggle/squirm out.
4. The basket is pretty easy to get to, but is small. But for a travel/lightweight stroller it's pretty good- a lot easier to get into than my old Combi! I use a tote bag and put the strap over the grip handles, letting the weight of the bag go into the stroller basket or just dangling down. The stroller has never tipped on me, and my bag is weighty. So the storage to me is not an issue on this stroller.Overall I love this stroller, I just wish the straps were designed like a P3.

Pros:
great fold, non tippy, comfortable handles, OK basket
Cons:
slouching, doesn't go totally upright
|
|
We were going out of town flying and wanted a lightweight that was easy to maneuver. The Macs are all tippy w/out a baby in it so this was great. It only tipped ONCE and that was w/a lot on the handles (DS was not in the seat). I wish the seat was a little more upright for my DS b/c the most upright position still has him slouch a little. I do wish the shade had more coverage, but both of these certainly do not outweigh how great this is. The wheels have a rugged feel to them, so you don't feel like a typical umbrella stroller. It is super easy to fold and unfold. This is DH's favorite stroller so far. We use it all of the time now even though it was meant for a travel stroller.
