Very good lightweight travel stroller with caveats, December 8, 2007

Pros: Lightweight, small fold and easy to steer.
Cons: Flimsy, workmanship is so-so. Fold is not intuitive

First off we had great results with Mia Moda customer service. I've had to call twice. Once because the fold mechanism was broken. Mia Moda sent out a replacement stroller. Second call was because the (my) left rear stroller wheel kept sliding off. Mia Moda sent out a replacement wheel. We managed to get the wheel to not come off, but it is not aligned completely either. I now have a problem with the harness where the shoulder strap hooks into the waist belt area. The plastic in the waist belt has broken so the hook just comes out - no place to keep the hook secure. I have not called Mia Moda as of yet because I am thinking we are going to get a new stroller instead.

While I really like the stroller's ease of handling. Steering is much better than the ubiquitous Maclaren lightweight umbrella strollers. Storage basket that is surprisingly roomy and easy to access, much more so than an underbasket. Great for around town and travel. Lightweight and the most compact stroller I have seen folded. The fold though does take getting used to and once you do it is easy, though the folding mechanism does stick on occasion.

I want to mention that it is a unique looking stroller and we get asked about the stroller and the fold quite often. This is not a stroller that takes an infant car sear. Cielo is not for infants and there is no full recline. Regardless my son is quite comfortable and has fallen asleep in this stroller regularly. We bought our stroller for $119 which is less than the listed price. For this price it is a good deal. Would I recommend? Yes.
