Good jogging stroller for the money, November 18, 2005

Pros: Full featured jogging stroller
Cons: None, if you want a fixed wheel

This is a good jogging stroller for the money. I only used it for walking, so I can't actully say how it is for jogging. It has large wheels, rolls well, has a wrist strap and hand brake - all great features for jogging.

It also has lots of storage - parent tray, large basket, pouch underneath the seat, and two zipper pockets on the hood. It also has a 5 point harness and regular foot/parking brakes on each wheel. The hood isn't great - it could offer more coverage, but it is typical for a jogging stroller.

I had mine for 2 or 3 years, and, when I started walking nearly every day (instead of every week or every other week), the fixed wheel drove me nuts. If you need a walking stroller, spend the extra money and get a swivel wheel. I wish that I had. This stroller could work very well for jogging, but not for walking.

As I mentioned, I had mine for 2 or 3 years with no quality problems. It was in great condition (kept in the garage), and I sold it to buy a swivel wheel model.

It is heavy, and I couldn't fit in my trunk without popping the wheels off. It isn't a stroller that I would want to put in the trunk too often. I don't mind heavy strollers if I don't have to pick them up! I actually find that heavy strollers take bumps better - less vibration is transferred to the infant.

One thing that bugged me at first is the adjustment of the front wheel - it might pull to the left or right at first. There are directions on how to adjust it, but you can't adjust it once you have your child in the stroller (and that is when you notice a need for adjustment!). Once I had it where it rolled in a straight line, I never had to touch it again. This might be the same for all jogging strollers.

I bought mine on sale at Target - it was regularly $90, but I bought it for $75. If you like this stroller, I think that Target has it for the best price. I think that I found that the regular version (no basket, etc.) was more at some places online than the full-featured one at Target.
