This travel system was $279 + tax at BRU and only available in Sahara there. We LOVE it. We did a great deal of research on this seat and stroller before purchasing it. BASE: The base is very easy to install - we tested with both LATCH in outboard and seatbelt in center and went with center positioning. The base is wider than others and seems more stable. The seat feels more secure when snapped into the base and is very easy to get in and out - easier than a Graco! Leveling is very simple with the built-in bubble level. SEAT: We particularly liked the infant body support and head support the carseat provided, and our son seemed very comfortable in it. The only issue we had is that he is hot-natured and always seems slightly red and sweaty when we get out, but that may be because the temperatures here are currently in the mid- to high nineties with a heat index of 100. The harness is simple to adjust and doesn't take long to do. STROLLER: The stroller itself is relatively light weight when compared with others in the same class. It is simple to snap the car seat in and out, and doesn't require any extra steps to secure it to the stroller, unlike other seat and stroller combos. It can be steered one-handed and can make really tight 180 degree turns. The one-handed fold is quick and easy, and it stands when closed, making it easy to lift in and out of the car without getting dirty. We are extremely thrilled with this choice!

We got this travel system in Discovery from BRU for $280. We ended up picking it because, after trying EVERY stroller in the store, the Cortina was the only one that my husband and I both felt comfortable pushing (I'm 5'6", he's 6'2".). The handlebar on the stroller is super easy to adjust.Carseat: I wrote a review of the KeyFit in the carseat section, so I'll just summarize. The seat is easy to install and use, and our son loved it from Day 1 (well, Day 3, technically ). The only problem we've had is that the fabric -- combined with the fact that he's hot-natured and was born in late summer -- led to a couple outbreaks of heat rash after long trips. We put a diaper cloth behind his head and lotioned him up, and that resolved the problem. I cannot say enough good things about the KeyFit. It's an excellent choice.Stroller: For a full-sized stroller, the Cortina is fantastic. (I point out that it's full-sized because I've heard complaints about the stroller being large and heavy -- well, it's a full-sized stroller. If you're looking for light and compact, it's probably not the right choice for you.) It's a nice balance of compact with full-featured. One handed steering and folding is a snap. It stand for storage, so we can leave it behind our door. There is a 5-point harness, and the seat fully reclines so it can be used for infants. The child and parent trays are very nice. The basket holds so much stuff, though it is difficult to get to when you have the stroller seat reclined to put the carseat in. My biggest grip with the stroller is that the wheels are plastic. I'd rather see rubberized wheels for both shock absorption and quality. After being warned away from travel systems by a number of sources (including the BB message boards!), we had not initially intended to get one. When we narrowed the carseat down to the SafeSeat1 and KeyFit, we went to a baby store to try them out. As we tried more and more strollers, we just kept coming back to the Cortina. We are very happy with our purchase and would recommend this set to anyone.

Cons:

I love this stroller and car seat! Now that I'm expecting another I wish they made a double sit and stand stroller as well.My husband is in a wheelchair, so the one hand fold was very important since he can't bend down very easily to fold it up. The adjustable handle is great for the same reason, he can put it down for him and up for me (I'm pretty tall).I love the fact that the car seat attaches to the stroller with the same tabs that it installs in the base. It makes it so that if the stroller were to bounce off a curb or something, the infant seat couldn't just bounce out as well. Look closely at how it attaches with most travel systems, there's just a simple hook attaching the infant seat at the front and near the feet its just balanced on the stroller. Not very secure. To top it off, the fabric colors are sophisticated rather than cutesy, gotta love that! The only real problem that I have with it is that it can be a little bulky in the car and the brake can be a little difficult to release, but that's better than releasing too easily! Now that my son is older I use my Chicco umbrella stroller, but the Cortina was invaluable while he was in the infant car seat because I could take him out of the car and into the stroller without waking him.

We love this stroller, I was intimidated by travel systems when i first became pregnant, they just seemed so huge & bulky & difficult to manuver. Boy was I wrong, I love this combo. The Chicco is so easy to manuver, from folding up & storing to getting it out of my car & using. I love the different positions of the canapy to cover babe from the sun & I can't tell you how many things I have stored in the nice compartment up top. One of my favorite features is that the handle has different positions so you can adjut it to your comfort level. The only bad thing I can say about this stroller is actually about the lack of color choices at BRU. We ended up ordering ours off the web to get a different color, which was high shipping. They have so many great colors I wish BRU would offer more at the store.

We purchased the Cortina travel system in Discovery (green/grey). It's gorgeous and super easy to use. The car seat is excellent - our infant has fit in it well since day one and it's very easy to adjust the straps. It clicks into the base and the stroller very easily and it's simple to know if it's in correctly. The stroller folds up easily and is not too heavy to lift in and out of the car trunk. I love that the stroller reclines fully. The handle height is adjustable and works well for both me (5'3") and my husband (6')
Love it!
