Pros:
sturdy and comfortable, easy to steer, many features
Cons:
heavy; small basket; carseat doesn't easily "click" in place
|

I have a love/hate relationship with this stroller. I love it when it is open. It love it when my baby is in it and sitting so comfortably. I love opening it with the simple pull of the triggers on the handles. I hate it when it is closed and needing to be lifted in my car. I hate closing it when I've forgotten to lock the front wheels.Pros:- This stroller is incredibly sturdy. It has all wheel suspension and it shows. I live in a neighborhood built in the 1920's and our sidewalks have barely lived to tell about it. Sometimes the gap from one square to the next involves a 2" drop. Not that we care -- we just bounce happily along our merry way in our Chicco C1!- Comfortable and supportive for a new sitter. Baby started riding sitting up in this stroller at 4 months (although the straps were still a bit loose). The multiple recline positions really help as she gets tired easily so I can choose the position that supports her the best without much fuss or muss.- The twist-able and fold-down-able handles are super cool. I thought it was a gimmick but it's actually been useful.- I can steer this SUV of strollers with one hand, if I need to. With two hands it steers very easily. One handed is doable, but not ideal.- Zipper pouch on canopy is very handy- Brakes work really well- Colors (mine is blackberry) are really nice- The carseat does click into place, which gives me a sense of security- It is REALLY easy to open.- It stands up when folded and is easy to roll around when folded.Cons:- Man, this thing is heavy. I call it the Beast. I guess I should have known because I did see the weight was 22 pounds, when I bought it. Somehow it just feels heavier. My house is about 10 steps up from street level. I just hate hauling this Beast up and down those steps to go for neighborhood walks.- The basket is very small and inaccessible. The frame of the stroller has a large "X" directly over the basket, which significantly limits what goes in and out of that storage space.- Some websites say that there is a raincover included. Mine most certainly did not. Apparently Chicco marketing material used to call the canopy a "raincover." I guess something got lost in translation there. Anyways, I checked to be sure and there is no clear, plastic included.- You have to position the carseat just-so to get it to click into the stroller. And when you take it out, you have to push down before you pull up, which is a bit counter intuitive. It takes a few frustrating sessions of unhooking it (of course typically in very public places with an audience), before you get the feel of it.- If you do not lock the front wheels before you fold the stroller, then folding it is a very awkward affair. The Beast tips and twists and is altogether unwieldy for my 5'2" frame to handle.Nits:- Sometimes when I change the recline, I have to jiggle one side to make it line up with the other side to get an even recline.- Sometimes the canopy pops off when I fold the stroller (easily put back on, but really, pretty annoying)- The cup holder and/or umbrella holder (which is cute but I have never used it) pop off a lot when I am loading The Beast into my car.- It's hard to figure out how to snap the backside cover into place on the side under the arms of the stroller.- Sometimes I need the stroller to fit into the backseat -- for example when I am going to the dog park and the dog needs to ride in the cargo. Well, this stroller doesn't fit in the backseat unless I put the passenger front seat all the way up, and then get the angle -just- so to put The Beast into the car. It's really squeezed in there so it doesn't budge at all. I don't know how this stroller compares to others for folded dimensions and it's probably not fair to knock a stroller in this class for being large when folded.I should mention that my husband REALLY Likes this stroller. Perhaps he even Loves it. The weight is not an issue for him at all. I guess I'm a weakling

Pros:
lightweight and easy fold
Cons:
no parent tray and TEENY storage basket
|

We bought the C1 on ebay, both pieces separately, after doing a ton of research. (Spent a little less than $300) This seemed to be the stroller for us. I love how it's not bulky, quite narrow actually and it folds up like an umbrella stroller leaving a ton of room in the trunk of the car. Very easy to maneuver, you can actually do it one-handed. The car seat snaps on to the stroller perfectly every time. The canopy is removable and washable. It has great suspension. We got the iceberg colored one and the colors are not babyish or cutesy at all. What I wish I could change is the fact that there is no parent tray ( it does come with an attachable drink holder though) and the storage basket is tiny, I can't even fit my smallest diaper bag in there. That really is hard when you go to the mall or somewhere else and you have to hang your bags over the handle bars.

Pros:
Beautiful, Light and Easy to use
Cons:

This stroller we received as a gift from a co-worker who purchased it online at BRU for about $400.00 total (Car Seat and Stroller). We actually had already purchased another stroller (popular name brand) and thought we would have to return this one but after it was to painful to return an online product we decided to try it and we were shocked how easy this stroller was and how light it is. We kept our other stroller we actually purchased and decided to have two for one in the car and the other for walks, I still prefer the Chicco over the other stroller for walks. I get so many compliments on this stroller and since this particular stroller hasn't been sold in any stores except online I'm sure many people haven't had the trust in buying this online but our friend did and we love it. It cost a pretty penny but was worth every dime. PROS:
I love how easy the stoller folds up, we received this as a gift C1 Travel System, blackberry from online at Babies R Us and everyone who see's the stroller loves it. The handle bars are unique and adjustable. My husband can adjust the handle bars the way he likes and I can change them the way I like. The Car Seat is perfect for newborns because it comes with a very padded insert which is easily removed for washing. The entire padding can be taken out without any effort to wash even the canopy. I love the canopy on the car seat because it's so easy to adjust according to the sun and the stroller canopy is modern and connects to the car seat stroller canopy which protects from the sun and bugs. It also has a window to look through while the baby is being strolled around. All I can say is I love this stroller and when people look at it they ask me who is Chicco and where did I buy this at because they want one as well. When walking through the airport I can place the base on the handle bars and my diaper bag across the bars, everything fits so perfectly.CONS:
For this stroller there're very minor, the basket under the stroller is really not accessible unless you try your hardest to get something in it. Another con is it takes some time getting use to snapping the car seat in the stroller, practice makes perfect. Lastly, Pulling the Stroller backseat back is hard at first because it's brand spanken new but it loosens up after a few tries. The reason why I didn't give this a 10 is they need to give us more space in the basket because I think having a basket is useful.

Pros:
Others will have stroller envy - great design and quality.
Cons:
Have not found anything that I don't like.

I ordered the C1 stroller a few weeks ago. I had a Graco Safe-Seat and the Graco version of the "snap and go" stroller frame while baby was an infant. She is now a 22 lb. 6 month old. I loved the ease of the stroller frame while she was small. We also have a BOB Revolution which we love for outdoor activities.
I wanted an umbrella-type stroller for shopping and indoor activities. After much research and debate, the Chicco C1 was one of the few strollers I could find with an umbrella fold and a child's tray. There isn't a tray for mom, but I haven't found too many umbrella strollers with a parent tray. I would rather have baby entertain herself with snacks and toys. I can carry my stuff, or put a few things in the basket. The basket is a decent size, but it is hard to put anything large in it due to the way it hangs under the seat. I love this stroller b/c it was just what I was looking for in an umbrella version.
I have also heard that ithis stroller is being discontinued. I was able to find mine online using Pricegrabber.com for $169.00 in the Explorer pattern, which is a dark gray and oatmeal version with red trim.
In the few weeks that I have used this stroller, several moms with MacLarens have stopped to admire it! I felt it was a great deal. I did just order the stroller (which is called a Cto.1 on the Chicco website) but it is available as a travel system as well. When checking the prices online, just make sure you know if you are ordering the travel system or just the stroller.
Baby seems very comfortable and seems well-supported. She has taken a couple of naps and the seat reclines to a nearly-flat position. She coos and sings on our outings!

Cons:

We paid $300 for this stroller in Notting Hill at a small baby boutique. Their price was originally much higher but we talked them down by showing them what BRU was charging ($280). They really wanted the business but that was as low as we could get them; I had my heart set on the Notting Hill, which we couldn't find anywhere else, and was willing to pay a little more to satisfy my vanity!I get compliments on this stroller all the time. People with kids (both friends and total strangers) stop me to ask about the stroller. When DS was still in his infant seat, we loved how the KeyFit and the C1 snapped together for a good-looking and secure ride. The fold is very easy to operate. It did take me five or six times in the beginning to get the hang of folding it up, but after that I was fine. And I love the ease of unfolding it, which is more important to me anyway. The stroller is a bit heavier than the P3 (which we were strongly considering) but not awkward, and I am constantly lifting it in and out of the back of my Honda CR-V as well as carrying it up and down three flights of stairs without a problem.DH is 6'4" and I am 5'7" and neither of us has any problem with kicking the back of the stroller. We also like the handles, which swivel 360 degrees and lock into any one of 8 positions. DH puts them in the "up" or "twelve o'clock" position, which keeps him from slouching so much and makes up for the lack of P3-style extending handles, IMO.The front wheels lock and unlock with a simple mechanism on the front side that you just nudge with your toe.The wheels seemed sturdier on this stroller than on others we considered. We walk over bumpy cobblestone sidewalks, rough slate paths, uneven grass athletic fields, up and down curbs and over speedbumps almost every day. A smooth ride and quality wheels were very important to us and we have not been disappointed. We also like the adjustable "shocks" that gave a smoother ride when DS was very young and in the KeyFit in travel system mode.My only complaint (and the reason I'm not giving the C1 a 10) is the size of the basket. I find that I can just barely squeeze in one dinner's worth of groceries if I wear my diaper bag messenger-style across my back. I see friends with their stroller baskets full of diaper bag, extra blanket, shopping, purse, etc. and know that will never be me. Oh well, I've gotten used to it.We were on the phone with Chicco customer service last week about something else (they were incredibly friendly and helpful, by the way) and they said that this stroller is being discontinued in the US due to slower than expected sales. This shocked us, as we love the stroller! But maybe it means prices will be lower as stores try to eliminate their stock? All in all, I think this is a great stroller that is too often overlooked. If I had to do it all over again, I would go the same way. My advice is to snap one up while you can!
