Pros:
Ease of use + lots of features like adjustable leg rest
Cons:
A bit heavy, inaccessible basket + careful with the sunshade
|
|
I considered buying the Maclaren Volo but tried this stroller out. I ended up buying it because it was cheaper than the Volo and it had a lot more features. It includes padded five point harness, front swivel or lockable wheels, an adjustable footrest, small basket, slight recline, decent sized sun canopy and comes with a rain shield. I bought mine at BRU for $79.99 less a 20% off coupon I had so it was around $64 plus tax. This stroller has lived up to my expectations. I bought it to keep in the car and use for errands and outings. It is easy to fold and unfold. The handles of the stroller are comfortable. The recline is slight but it is enough for my ds to nap - he is especially comfortable when we adjust the foot rest so his legs do not dangle. The sunshade is good sized but the peek a boo window is positioned poorly so you can't see the babe unless he is in the reclined position. It is easy to steer. There is no cupholder or tray for the mom or the babe. My 15 month old TALL son seems very comfortable in this stroller unlike the stroller we were replacing where he kept sliding down in the seat.My only gripes about the stroller are that the basket is small and hard to access when the stroller is reclined; the sunshad canopy somehow got a kink in it but it still works and the stroller is on the heavy side for an umbrella at around 15 lbs. I was used to throwing my 9lb Combi in and out of the car so the Chicco feels a little heavier. One more thing, I have pinched my fingers once or twice in when buckling the harness. Bottom line - comfortable, easy to manuver and fold, sturdy little stroller. Good deal for the money.

Pros:
Reclinable seat, doesn't tip over, sturdy, larger wheels
Cons:
a little heavy, no carry handle, 2 button seat recline
|
|
I bought this to be a travel stroller after the airlines lost our Combi. I have been very happy with it-- we have now taken it overseas several times as well as on many road trips. It "lives' in the car so it is used almost daily as our out and about stroller (I have a larger Graco for use at home). Our daughter takes all of her naps in her stroller(s) so it was imperative to find an umbrella that reclined. This does the trick (although to recline you must hit the butons on both sides). Also I love that the seat is supportive, other kids always look so uncomfortable in their strollers compared to her! (The Chicco seat is stright so doesn't force the baby's back to curve like on other umbrellas). The fact that the seat isn't removable was no problem for me-- I picked up two stroller seat covers when we were in Spain. These are very common is Europe. I bought online and I think I paid around $65. This stroller is very sturdy-- will not tip with heavy bags on the back-- and the wheels are larger and "grippier" making it very easy to push. Don't count on getting too much in the basket, but I keep a diaper, a light blanket, and a small book in there all the time, even when folded. Over a year later our Chicco is beginning to look a wee bit dingy-- I'll have to figure out how to spot clean a little, but I would highly recommend this stroller. Also, for those who care, I have never seen anyone else with it and the colors are distinctive (pretty blue tones, very unisex)-- no problem getting it mixed up with someone else's at the zoo. (like I witnessed between some MacLaren moms)

Pros:
Great for quick trips, can't beat the price.
Cons:
Sunshade is worthless.

I bought the Chicco Tuscany in seaside after reading some positive reviews on another site. I bought it online for a great price, around $60. At first, I will say that I was disappointed. I think I had my expectations set a bit high; however, the Tuscany has grown on me and I am now very happy. The fold on mine can be a little tricky, it seems to stick a bit but I think it is just the luck of the draw. I pinch my fingers when buckling my daughter in all the time. I get in a hurry and forget that it isn't a protected buckle like my Graco so it is my own fault for not remembering after learning the hard way. Just make sure your little one's hands and legs are clear of it. I like that it is lighter than my travel system, which is what I was looking for. It is great for quick trips to the mall, store, etc. We would use this on an airplane as well but would make sure to fold it down when leaving it planeside. The huge con is the sunshade. It doesn't even go over half of the seat so I think it is pretty useless. I haven't ever used the raincover but I suppose it could come in handy for some. I put things over the stroller handles all the time and never have any problems...and I have a very HEAVY diaper bag so this is a great plus to me. Have added bags while shopping with no problems either. Overall, I would recommend this to someone who isn't a serious stroller fiend. It is a great little stroller at a great price.

Pros:
Adjustable footrest, recline, peek-a-boo window, not tippy.
Cons:
None so far.

I've had the Chicco Tuscany in the seaside print for 8 months now and I still love it. The material is super soft, it has 5 recline positions, ergonomic padded handles, an adjustable footrest, 5pt harness, peek-a-boo window, comes with a rain cover, and is not as tippy as all the Macs. It's $79 at BRU and you can often get a $10 off any stroller coupon in their mailer (I bought mine with both a $10 off and a $5 off coupon so I only paid about $65). I use it as my super quick errand stroller. My son is now almost 22 months old, 27lbs, and 34 inches tall and he still fits just fine in it. He never complains when I put him in it and he's even fallen asleep in it multiple times. The fabric is softer than some of the other umbrella strollers I've looked at (Mac, Eurotrend Sport) and it's not tippy like the Macs. We went out to dinner once and I had my packed LE small tote AND a Fisher Price Healthy Care deluxe booster hanging off the handles (without my son in the stroller) and it did NOT tip at all! Can't say that about a Mac! It doesn't have a child's tray or parent cupholder, which some people might be bothered by, but since I only use it for quick errands there's no need to give my son snacks-- I use my Peg Atlantico when I'll be out longer and my son needs a snack tray. The adjustable footrest is a great feature that is not normally seen in less expensive strollers and even at 22 months my son still uses it 100% of the time. The canopy is not huge, but it's adequate and has a peek-a-boo window which I like. The seaside print is softer than the Chicco Tuscany that comes in the red and black print, but since it's lighter it's a little easier to get dirty. I have a few smudges here and there on mine, but not enough for me to actually clean it yet. The material is not removable. The fold is easy, but it does fold down to the ground and you have to manually lock it in place yourself (I'm pretty sure the Macs lock automatically). All in all, this has been a great stroller (especially for the price) and I'd definately recommend it.

Pros:
Inexpensive, comfy, adjustable leg rest, & manueverable
Cons:
15 pounds, 2 handed recline
|
|
I got my Tuscany for $44 (no shipping) from an eBay store - new. I got it for a trip to Europe and it was PERFECT!!! My cousin picked up the Mac Triumph and my Chicco beat it hands down!I love:
It's handles are as high as the Mac.
More comfy seat than the Mac.
Bigger/adjustable leg rest.
Canopy window.
Bigger wheels than the Mac Volo or Triumph (necessary for European cobblestone streets).
5-position seat
Good canopy.
PRICE, PRICE, PRICE!!
