Pros:
Cant think of any
Cons:
Handles too low
|
|
I was very disappointed in this stroller. Did not test drive before registering for it. I kicked the wheels constantly, too close together. The handles are too low and I had to hunch over to drive it (I am 5'10"). The straps would not tighten enough to keep my daughter save. Seat part is very short so 4.5 mo old daughter could hang her feet over comfortably but could have leaned over and fell out with the loose straps. Not safe in my eyes. Basket was on the small size and hard to drive as well. It went right back for a full refund.

Pros:
higher weight limit than most umbrella strollers, reclines
Cons:
canopy and stroller fold-up not self-explanitory
|
|
We love our Chicco Capri. We've had it since May 2004 and it's been with us for trips to the mall/store, to the zoo, in airports and on 2 roundtrip international flights (plus many more domestic flights), among other places. Since the other posters have mentioned folding up the stroller, I'll say that at first I had a hard time with this too, but all you have to do is slide the red button under the crossbar by pushing it down and out a bit. Yes, this takes 2 hands, but I have not found it to be cumbersome at all, and I am usually very picky about such things. We also figured out the secret to keeping the canopy on. Before we would get frustrated bc when we had the canopy down it would slide off the frame. We figured out that the frame has bendable joints on the ends. So you're supposed to bend the joints back to keep the canopy from sliding off when it's in the "off" position - the instructions really should be more explicit about this important detail. I would agree that the basket is small and relatively difficult to access - but at this price I'm just glad to have a basket at all. FWIW, we have no problem fitting all of the following in the basket - toddler size jacket or blanket, bottle of water or sippy, snack. The canopy has zipped mesh pockets on both sides for mama's cell phone and wallet or a map or whatever. We travel light and have no problems with basket/storage. I love the look of the stroller - bright. Also really like that this umbrella stroller reclines - not easy to find in an umbrella stroller at this price. I would agree that the plastic clip is not always easy. I am surprised to see a reviewer say that the handles are short. The handles are much taller than most umbrella strollers - at least based on a quick comparison at BRU. After a years worth of pretty heavy use (and abuse from the airlines), I've noticed that the fabric is fraying a bit near the front wheels. We have definitely gotten our $50 out of this stroller and would highly recommend it to anyone who asked us.

Pros:
light, compact, more sturdy than other umbrella strollers
Cons:
seat doesn't recline all the way
|
|
Overall, I love this stroller. It is a little different to fold up, but once you get used to it, it is no problem at all. Comes with a canopy & underneath basket (small). Canopy does fall off easily, though, when perpendicular to floor. Limited colors red & blue (I think). It is built much better than the cheaper umbrella strollers counterparts. You can actually hang a diaper bag/diaper backpack that is full of stuff around the handle bars without worry that the stroller will tip. 5 pt restrain system. Customer Service is best if you call them directly. They do not respond to emails.

Pros:
Easy to fold, lightweight, reclines, canopy
Cons:
very small basket, kick back wheels
|
|
Bought for about $60 just before a plane trip. I didn't want my Zippy to get banged up in the cargo hold, so I bought this light Chicco Capri. It's very easy to fold. The canopy folds perfectly with it with no problems. The latch takes a bit of effort, but once you figure it out, not a big deal. I love that it reclines, but I wish it reclined further. I love the 5-point restraint system, and this was the main reason I purchased this stroller. The very best thing is that it is so light! I'm able to carry my 16 pound daughter and the folded up stroller in separate hands. The steering is quite good. I like that you can lock the front wheels if needs be. I really wish the basket was larger. It's pretty much useless except for having just enough room to store the protective stroller bag it comes with. Also, the seat isn't very deep, and the handles I feel are a little short. I sometimes kick the back wheels, and I'm not that tall - 5'6".

Pros:
Lightweight
Cons:
I can't push it without kicking the rear wheels.
|
|
I put this on my baby registry without trying it out in person first. It was about $50. I was looking for something lightweight to use for commuting around the city but I can't walk behind it normally without kicking the rear wheels. I'm 5'7", so either the handles are too short or the wheel placement is too narrow -- and no, I don't have abnormally large feet - 8.5! It's difficult to fold up too, and impossible to do it one-handed. Also, the sun canopy/visor is too small to be useful. At 1:00 in the afternoon I could not adjust it to keep the sun out of my baby's face.
