Not as high quality as a Mac, but not as high price, either., June 10, 2005

Pros: Good weight and features for price. Great customer service!
Cons: First version had problems. Steering only ok at high weight.

We purchased a lightweight on a tight budget, but wanted features such as a basket, good canopy, rain cover and umbrella fold. The London had all these at half the price of the lowest level Maclaren of the time. (Pre-Volo) Our original London had all these features, but was plagued with loosening bolts! Chicco customer service immediately sent a new stroller (without returning the original!) and we have had no problem since. We have used the stroller 2+ years. Now that DS is heavier, it is getting a bit harder to steer. He is, however, over the weight limit specified by Chicco. Overall, not a bad value or a bad option on a tight budget.

Pros: I love the ease of use, recline, and lightness.
Cons: No complaints really.

We have had this stroller almost a year and use a more than our Maclaren. I love how easy it is to recline and the foot rest was wonderful for a napping toddler in Disney World! Its is easy to steer and folds fast. We have had no problems at all with our Chicco and you can't beat the price!

My Faux Maclaren, June 12, 2005

Pros: lightweight, low-cost, easy to maneuver
Cons: Seat can't be removed to wash it, difficult to

Rather than splurging on the Maclaren, the Chicco London is a decent alternative. I love that its small and lightweight. I can easily lift it in and out of the car and its great for casually walking, a mall trip or a vacation (great in airports!)

What makes it great? There is a leg rest that can be lengthened--which means that my little one who loves to sit like he has an ottoman is very comfortable. Also, the sunshade can be moved down over the body. And it comes with a rain shield.

What's not so great? We all know accidents happen, and I can't remove the seat to wash it. Additionally, while the frame seems strong, pieces of the foam handles are tearing and the wheels are a little wobbly. But for the money, everything is working well.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the stroller. It was an affordable purchase that I didn't feel guilty buying, and I've been happily using it for over a year now.

Excellent lightweight stroller, June 10, 2005

Overall Grade   8.00/10  (8)

Pros: Easy to manuever indoors and on neighborhood streets
Cons: Not great in rougher terrain (eg city streets)

We bought this stroller to keep at my parents house, and I end up using it now every day. I have a bad back, and this stroller is nice and light for me to lift in and out of the car. The basket in the back is roomy enough to fit my diaper bag and purse. My daughter loves it and now at 2 1/2, she still loves to ride in it when she's had a long day out. On the con-side, I would not have felt comfortable using this stroller when my daughter was an infant, due to the recline (it isn't too deep). But this is a great second stroller if you are in the market for a lightweight!
