The stroller attachment works well going over dirt, grass, and bark chips, and turns with one hand! My infant is very comfortable in the sling. My 4 1/2 year old has plenty of room. This is well built, with a good warranty and lots of available accessories and conversion kits. We expect many years of fun family fitness. This is not cheap- I paid almost $700 for the pod, strolling wheels, and infant sling.
I looked at MBUD, E3, and Schwinn (double all-terrain strollers with swivel-wheel and suitable for infants.) I chose the Chariot because it has more space for older kids and has multi-sport versitility. My preschooler also enjoys "the pod" with interior pockets for snacks. Its much more padded and comfortable than our baby jogger. Things I would change: Make a bigger basket that accomodates chunky items like a diaper bag, and not block the view of the parking brake. Make the buckle covers more parent friendly. The tinted plastic at the bottom of the sunshade is useless because it blows into their faces if unrolled, so I'd get rid of it or make anchor points at the bottom. I'd make the handlebar bag bigger, and open at the top, not the bottom. I'd make an optional parent tray with beverage holder and covered tray.
I wish I'd been able to compare the CX2 with the Cougar IRL. The CX2 has a sportier profile, nicer handlebars, extra padding and deluxe harnesses for the kids. Since we couldn't try them both out, we went for the new deluxe model, knowing that we'd be using it for years.
