Pros: Stable, easy to clean, great colors.
Cons: Price, no baby option like the Tripp Trapp

Kinderzeat, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I bought this when my daughter was 17 months old because I was so tired of cleaning the Prima Pappa. We have never looked back. Just push it up to the table--no trays, no crevices. It looks great even when I don't clean it (okay, it helps that my two retrievers lick the seat and footrest after meals), and smashing when I do. Practically untippable, and comfy for grownups in a pinch. What's not to like, except the price? We'll be buying another KZ for our second daughter the instant she's big enough. Worth every penny.

Pros: Style, the foot rest, 300lb max rated
Cons: A bit pricey

My in-laws purchased the Kinderzeat for my little one at Christmas. I was so thrilled that I called my sister & brother to ask if their little ones would benefit from one as well (they are 18 mo & 2 yrs). Both boys love their chair! The 2 yr old loves being a part of the dinner table, climbing right into the chair. He hadn't sat in the highchair for months - but was only happy sitting on my brother's lap. I'm not really sure how my brother actually got to eat! Now everyone is happy at the table.

I paid $199, plus another $34 for the cushion - but got free shipping & no tax.

Pros: Adjustable, great footplate for restless feet.
Cons: The seat pad can slip off the seat, tough to slide on floor

I can't say enough great things about this seat. My 4 1/2 year old (who is a big boy at 50 pounds) started using this seat at about 20 months. We couldn't keep him in the highchair (hated it) and tried one of those foldable boosters in our kitchen chair. The kicking and banging of the table & chair was almost as bad as the highchair. So we bit the bullet and ordered the kinderseat form the Right Start. I think we paid 199.99 and I was a little concerned that it might be a waste of money. But I have to say this seat has really served us well. He is still using it after 2 1/2 years, more than I can say about most of his "gear". My favorite things about the seat are the adjustable seat and footplate and the fact that DS feet don't dangle in the chair. I definately believe he sits longer in the seat and feels more comforable at the table. My only 2 cons are that the seat pad sometimes slips off of the seat and it is sometimes had to slide the seat on our hardwood floors. It's a great choice for larger kids who outgrow the highchair, but aren't ready for a regular adult chair.

Pros: Fully adjustable seat height and foot rest height.
Cons: Can be problematic for a messy eater. The price!

This is a beautiful piece of furniture. Mine was purchased in 2004 for $199.99. We first set the chair up when DD was 17 months old. She absolutely loves this chair, and we use it for both meals and art projects at the table. We have a booster seat as well, and the Kinderzeat is definitely the most comfortable of the two due to the fully adjustable footrest.

Now for the downside. Even at 20 months we still use the highchair for many meals because my daughter is a messy eater. I find that the highchair is more contained, and that she drops less food on the floor when using it. The kinderzeat is also very expensive. I plan to buy a second for our son, so I think it is worth the expense, but, it helps to appreciate the style of this chair, not just its function.
