Overall a great HC. Considered prima pappa as alternate, but read many review on BBB and spoke to friends, and decided on this one. Ordered online, no time to visit store and touch this/other HCs. Good pattern options, we have a blue plaid. Cover is removable for cleaning--vinyl is so easy to wipe clean. Straps are a tad harder to clean, but cleanable nonetheless. Recline is a feature friends had recommended in case baby falls asleep in chair. It has been a useful feature for me in order to help baby drink milk from cup. Tray has removable cover. Easy to roll chair near sink, detach cover, wipe down, reassemble, ready for next feeding. Can't think of anything else I would ask for in a chair. Took off one point from 10 due to strap cleaning, very minor in the big picture. Came with infant insert, very useful for me since child is on the small side. I think price was $130 (free shipping) or so, ordered online. Would purchase this item again.

I borrowed the Chicco Mamma and I am very happy that I did not spend $120 plus on this chair. It is now in the basement. My 11 month old has been learning to feed herself and that would be messy enough, but the nooks and crannies of this chair are numerous and hard to reach with a sponge. The Mamma has million crevices that are impossible to remove baby food, hummus, cottage cheese, etc. from. There are narrow crevices where the front and back legs are connected and strange narrow spaces between the plastic and the pad and a foot rest that has raised areas that make even that area hard to clean.I will have to power wash the chair before returning it.Also, the space between the baby and the tray is cavernous and with an 11 month old who is learning to feed herself-so much food ended up in her lap! Finally, the tray itelf is surpringly heavy and somewhat difficult to reconnect with one hand.

We got our Chicco Mamma from a now defunct website back in 1999 for $120 at an end-of-the-year close out sale. What I like about it is.The wheels - you would not believe how handy it is to be able to roll baby around. I roll him over to the sink to get him cleaned off, or roll him where he can see me. Easy to get baby out - at the time I bought this I was deciding between Chicco Mamma and Peg Perego Prima Pappa. The Chicco was much easier to get the baby out of quickly, if, say, he was choking. Even though it has a 5-point harness, you just squeeze 2 buttons int he middle to release and pull the baby's arms out. 5-point harness - great for containing those babies who try to stand up in the highchair. This is fresh in my mind because we just spent Christmas at my inlaws, hwo have a cheapo highchair with a 3 point harness, and my son kept standing up in it and almost tipped the highchair several times. Scary. Glad to be back home with my Chicco.Vinyl upholstery is easy to remove and clean. Mine has been thrown up in twice, so I am really glad I didn't get cloth. Tray is really eas to get on and off - something you don't get in cheaper highchairs. Reclining seat - this is really handy for teaching them to tilt the sippy cup back when they drink. The only thing I don't like is that for a small baby, say 6 months old, the tray seems ridiculously high. Not that they are feeding themselves from a tray at that age, the the tray seems high and the chair seems big. The highchair came with an insert that can be put in for a smaller baby, but mine fell apart and when I wrote to Chicco about getting a replacement, I got no reply. The chair being big for a couple of months is not a huge deal, as you are mostly spoon feeding them at that point, but if you have an especially small baby, you may want to keep this in mind. I have also heard that some kids can figure out how to kick the tray off by pressing the release lever with their foot, although neither of mine have figured this out. Overall, a very good deal, especially if you can find a year end closeout sale like we did.
