Pros:
Excellent Quality and So Easy to Use
Cons:
Tray On the Small Side
|
|
We LOVE this highchair and would highly recomment it!! It is so easy to use!!! There are several things I like about it: 1) there are no nooks and crannies for food to get trapped in which makes cleaning a breeze; 2) It comes with 2 snap-on tray covers which you can stick in the dishwasher making cleaning even easier; 3) it wheels around the house smoothly; and 4) the seat post ensure your child won't slip under the tray and be potentially injured!Really is the best high chair ever!

Pros:
Style, aesthetics, upkeep
Cons:
Pneumatic lift and tray could be easier to use
|
|
This high chair is truly one of the few stylish high chairs out there. I'm really not into the cutesy baby stuff. Most high chairs are big, bright and gaudy with too many crevices to clean. The Boon high chair is very stylish and incredibly easy to clean (due to the curved design). We've had this chair for 3 months and I only have two complaints. First, the pneumatic lift isn't that smooth - you have to pull a bit to get the chair up and down. Secondly (and my biggest complaint) is that you need two hands to remove the tray from the high chair. Doesn't everyone walk up to a high chair with a baby in one arm? Even the frilly Fisher Price high chair has a tray you can get off with one hand.I must say, I've never had a problem with the "pommel" post in the middle. My son is 9 months old and he does slouch a bit, but he's just learned to sit up, so I think the slouching will pass as he gets older. Overall, I think this is a very stylish chair that is very easy to clean.

Pros:
Appearance
Cons:
Hurts baby
|
|
I started using this chair recently with my 6-month-old son and we soon realized that the crotch post was severely digging into his genital area. The post actually curves inward toward the genitals making the problem even worse. My son is 17 lbs. which is the 45th percentile for his age so he is not a huge baby. I tried many different settings with the straps, trying to position him so it would not happen but he continued to slide into this position. It seems to be causing him pain because he doesn't like to sit in the chair and cries to get out. In addition, I contacted Boon about this problem and they were no help. They said the post was there to meet safety standards, but I doubt the post needs to be curved or so close to the back of the seat to meet standards. They suggested that other customers with this problem had taken the pad out to make more room. First of all, this tells me other people are experiencing the same problem. But second of all, I don't see this as a very satisfactory solution considering that would mean the baby would be sitting on hard plastic. I was trying to find a way to increase the comfort, not decrease it!! When I first got the chair was I very excited because it is so attractive and it wheels around very easily but I soon discovered this serious design flaw and I am very unhappy. I am especially unhappy with Boon's unsatisfactory response considering we paid more than double the price of other high chairs. We ended up buying a used high chair from Craigslist. The Boon is going on Craigslist. Anyone want to buy it now?

Pros:
So easy to clean, very easy to move around the room.
Cons:
A little hard to adjust the straps.

Don't ve afraid of the Jetson's appearance of this high chair. It is worth it if you have ever tried cleaning cheese and pears out of the fabric of a fluffy high chair cover. Also, the tray liners acutally fit in my dishwasher! Our former high chair had dishwasher-safe tray liners, but they were too bulky to fit in the machine. It moves easily and the pneumatic button makes adjusting the height simple.

Pros:
On wheels!! SO so so easy to clean! Small footprint.
Cons:
shoulder straps should be able to tighten a little more for small guys
|
|
I absolutely love this high chair. The sleek look was the first thing to grab me as i researched, but the overall design really delivers: The footprint is nice-sized taking up less real estate than the splayed legs design of most high chairs, and its being on a hydraulic lift allows us to have the baby down at the kitchen table with us, or up at the breakfast bar. (and hydraulic? so cool and so smart) The chair, seat pad and tray are all wipe-clean molded-plastic: no crevices for crumbs to collect and fester. The straps are really soft and the buckle is definitely nicer quality than on any other item we own (the vibro chair, the swing, the car seat). The tray is simple to place and remove, and again, with smooth mechanics. Plus with the chair being on wheels, I can just roll the baby over to the sink when the meal is finished to wash him and wipe the chair down. Furthermore, I then wheel it over to the fish tank or in front of the fridge magnets, or just back front and center to watch me prepare meals for everyone else while he sits up and digests for 15 minutes. He is 5 months old and seems very comfortable and happy in it. All of this and the chair looks fantastic; its style fits in our loft perfectly. I really hated the look of nearly all other high chairs -- and its something that you have to look at everyday for years. I LOVE IT! Only thing I'd change is to make the shoulder straps able to go a little tighter for smaller babies - although he'll be big enough for them soon enough, of course. Waist strap is totally fine.
